Omega-3 fatty acids. DHA and EPA act as anti-depressants. Eat lots of salmon, herring, tuna, etc. or if you don't like fish, ground flaxseed you can stir into milkshakes, plus some margarines and eggs have Omega-3's in them. Eat 5 small meals divided into regular intervals during the day. Keeps your blood sugar from spiking too high and prevents you from the subsequent crash and feeling crappy/lethargic.

Most sound advice I have heard in awhile.

You'd be surprised how much this helps

I eat lots of fish. I'm not really depressed. I just have a negative attitude. Once upon a time, I was positive. Then life happened and it seems to have made me pessimistic about a lot of things in life. I eat pretty healthy, although I could do better. I plan on starting to work out and see how that goes though.

Just form a habbit of telling yourself that you're not going to waste any of your energy on negative energy.

If something pessimistic pops up and you catch yourself than just tell yourself that.

Smile for no reason too. That seems to be a good tool.

Become a Giants fan. Problem solved. :D

Okay okay don't kill me.

I do have the same problem. But I don't think eating right or exercising will take your negative attitude away.

Go to a cemetery. Think about all the guys that are under the ground. You will understand that life is too short to care about anything. Just embrace the love. Think about what you have. This will make you feel better. It worked for me.

But don't go to a cemetery in the middle of the night and drunk like me. It gets a little creepy :D
