He was a strong safety at Notre Dame until he was a senior if I remember correctly, maybe with the scheme change he might benefit from being put into a hybrid safety/linebacker role.
Jaylon came in as the #1 OLB in the country. He was then moved to MLB.
Your thinking of Harrison Smith who bounced between LB & S. Hes the 5x pro bowl safety for the Vikings.
I would trust him to eventually hit someone so hard they would have to bust out the smelling salts...he might get beat some too...but dude is 6-2 245...I wouldn't trust him in open space.

He's a terrible athlete unless he's running in a straight line.Yeah I looked him up online and he has played LB since high school. I still think he could be legendary at safety. He is athletic enough.
Or maybe just keep him at WILL. He started off the yr hot, then Vander Esch got hurt and Jaylon was moved to MIKEHe was a strong safety at Notre Dame until he was a senior if I remember correctly, maybe with the scheme change he might benefit from being put into a hybrid safety/linebacker role.

Lol no he's not.He is one of the best cover Lbers in the NFL. How can he be this horrible athlete if he can cover good?
I don't like him at MLB. He does not play with much physicality in traffic at the point of attack. Unfortunately, he is a liability on coverage as well. WILL is probably his best spot.
I still don't comprehend why we put him in the middle to begin w/.I think he's better on the outside closing in. He looks lost in the middle.
If he can't cut, and it doesn't appear as if he can, he can't cover anywhere near well enough to play SS.Lol no he's not.
Should we move Zack Martin to WR? I mean I’ve seen him catching passes in pregame warmups.
