Move Micah to LB

I think it’s an awful idea.

He’s a special edge rusher and an average linebacker.
How is he expected to improve at LB if he doesn’t get reps there though? I’m more in the opinion of keeping him as a chess piece rather than an edge rusher full-time. I trust DQ is lending his ear to him and doing not only what’s best for the team but for his wear and tear as well

I feel like there is opportunity to drop Micah and blitz Barr as the fourth rusher at times but no way do you move Micah from his role as pass rusher when he’s one of, if not the best defender in the NFL in that role.

We have plenty of ends that can create pressure and play the run. Micah is getting beat up playing the line as an undersized pass rusher. I think it's time to let him play more linebacker where he can blitz from anywhere on the field without the collisions on every play. We have to get him right for the playoffs. Thoughts?
Agree 100%.

It's just a matter of time we're enjoying too much of a good thing and he is going to get hurt.
He's continually going against guys that outweigh him by 50 lb and getting chipped to boot.
He's banged up and beat up as it is it's a matter of time before he loses a step and won't be even good for linebacker.

Mark my words if you continue to make him fight out of his weight class every single week he is going to get knocked the hell out.

Just wait we'll be lucky if he's walking by the playoffs

His position needs to be renamed "undisclosed defensive player" or like Bill Parcells used to call T.O. "the player" lol.

I mean our defense is not the same against the pass when Parsons isn't pass rushing, is the problem.

how did lawrence taylor do it? he was a blitzing LB right?
can we get another DE in there at times and blitz parsons also?

Whether chasing QBs while lined up on the line or off it, I just hope Parsons is healthy enough to be the impact player he has proven to be.

His last couple of games have revealed a less impactful player than what we're used to.

I hope he's okay.

..watching some HOU replays. They had TE/RB chipping Micah on every play. Let alone the Oline man, he came against.

Dude, was worn out by 3rd qtr.

Yeah, there was a camera shot in the 4th qtr of him on the bench. He looked either mad, sick or just worn out.

If they keep him at end, offenses will RPO and chip him to death, he will have a short career.

Move him around and blitz him through the gaps, he will face running backs, not tackles that way.

Let him rush from end at crucial times in the game only, specially in the 4th.

Exactly. He's 6'3" and 245 pounds. He's not built to be a full-time 4-3 DE. He's an excellent situational pass rusher.

Parsons is our best pressure player and one of the reasons our pass rush has been so effective this season, it would be foolish to make him a full time LB. Keep moving him around like we’ve been doing that’s how he’s become a great player. I don’t want him playing one position full time. The more we move him around the harder he is to defend.

I agree but give him more snaps at LB to help him get healthy and make him more dangerous
