Move Tyron back to RT.

He was top 5 in the league at RT, he is bottom 5 in the league at LT. He played RT in college. Everyone assumed he could make the transition due to his athleticism but it has been a flop, move him back to RT. Free is better at LT, Smith is better at RT. This should be a no-brainer move for the team to make.

Smith was DOMINANT as a RT.

He has played terrible. But you can't switch back after just 2 games, unless he is doing just as bad day in/day out in practice and showing no improvement.

He's atrocious at RT and Smith has been equally atrocious at LT. I'll take the best RT in the league and draft another LT next year. This instantly makes us a better team, if Free still sucks at LT atleast Smith will be dominant at RT.

I think you have to give Smith the rest of the year before making a decision on whether he can or cannot play left tackle. You just can't start moving pieces around just because of a little adversity. As for Free, he is a career backup at best.

Well... Smith so far is ranked at about 61/67 of all the LT's in the league. He was top 5 at RT.

He has also played two very good defensive lines.

Smith is without question capable of playing left tackle. He isn't a slow large road grader that usually would play right tackle. He has the ability, size, speed, and strength to play both.

Throughout college he played RT. Last season he played RT. What works works, sometimes there is no logical explanation for things. If he is better at RT let him be a RT, and right now I am willing to bet he is better at RT.

That is something to address in the offseason, but not at this point. Maybe there is a stud LT in the draft we can get, then you discuss moving Smith back to RT.

The way he is playing right now it's not an option to keep that going for the rest of the season. Maybe it'll take a week or two and he will get it going, but if not this experiment gets an F.

Smith is what 21 years old? If it takes him a season or 2 to adjust to LT so he can dominate for a decade I say ride it out.
