He gave you a couple of the moves he was talking about, although I'm not sure if "miss" is the right word because we don't really know how much of an effort the team made. We do know they talked to OBJ a lot late last season, but who knows how far the discussions went.
Thanks some just need to entertain themselves for whatever reason. Yes that OBJ spectacle was a mess, giving him the first class treatment to the game an whatever else they did for him.

Moves not taken - The Freddie

To do the Freddie, the dancer simply stands in place; then, in rhythm with the music, extends the left leg and raises both arms, as if doing jumping jacks; then extends the right leg and raises both arms again. The moves are repeated until the song's conclusion.

Don't praise Jerry. He wanted both of those moves. He scolded Stephen for the Martin choice, not making the bold move, which Jerry only went along with because no one in the room agreed with him. He lamented not getting the Lynch trade up done the next morning. They drafted Dak that afternoon.

Had Jerry gotten his way Martin is a future HOFer somewhere else and we would've had the pleasure of a front row seat for the Manziel debacle. Thanks, Jerry.
We all know Jerry wanted Manziel, but what evidence do you have that he "scolded" Stephen? Like you said, he agreed to go with Martin because none of the others in the room wanted to go with Manziel, so it wasn't just Stephen that was responsible for the choice. And it is ultimately Jerry decision, so he could have overridden all of them. .

As for Dak, yes, we know Jerry wanted Lynch & tried to make a deal, but are you sure others in the organization didn't also want Lynch? Regardless, he didn't give up whatever it took to make the deal.

As much as I hate to give Jerry props for anything, both of these things seemed like a good sign. He was willing to listen to others in the organization about Manziel, which is not something Jerry had been credited with doing in the past, and he showed restraint in his negotiation for Lynch.

Jerry's first instincts were to gamble. He has since learned organizational stability and those skills with a good team around himself now.

I wonder what an argument between the GM and Owner would look like now?

They were, but he didn't let them overcome him like he might have earlier in his time with Dallas.

Jerry may always have to fight the gambler in him, but it's interesting that while some still paint him as a guy looking to make a big splash all the time, he & the Cowboys have really become pretty conservative in the draft and free agent market, even to the point fans now often complain about him not being aggressive enough.

Many sports pundits, along with most on this site hold that (aside from Dak) the key to success rests with the OL.

While Asim Richards and Bass look like keepers, we really haven't added a significant piece to the OL. Yes, I know we signed Edoga but, realistically, he is merely a placeholder.

It seems as though the team bet on the OL as is and now both Waletzko and Ball are on IR. Probably not a major loss to be sure. Still, OL seems neglected.

If I’m changing Dak to another QB, it’s not Aiden O’Connell. Lol. That guy is not leading a team to win a Super Bowl. That’s the goal not NFC championship.
Jerry or "reports" said we were interested in drafting Aiden O'Connell at/around the 4th round. Fehoko or a franchise QB? I'll take Aiden.

Obviously a trade for Earl Thomas, the brother tandem guy.
That one stung when he was still good.

We needed a free safety for years, he went to Texas, told Garrett to come get him.

So certain are you. Aiden O'Connell - before I heard any other reviews - looked like Tom Brady. Then I saw that Brady is a minority owner in Vegas. Then I saw him display precision accuracy against us too.

That kind of accuracy can't be taught. I'm not saying he's a star, but he's got plenty of potential.

Some fans seem to be drunks who want to take their rowdy show on the road...

I still wish JJ would’ve made that happen. Can you imagine the defense with Miller?
The guy who’s 34 and had a major knee injury?

Yeah I’ll take Williams/Fowler for pennies over a highly paid Miller. Our pass rush isn’t an issue.

Obviously butterfly effect if he signed here he may have been healthy but he’s old with a history of injuries. Great talent but paying top dollar to an old player at a position that’s well stocked is never a good move.
