I tend to buy a number of movies online. Mostly from google Play/Youtube NOT talking about buying DVD or Bluerays movies online.

With that said it is odd that some good or really famous movies are not available to buy for some reason

The Abyss
Operation Petticoat
The Devils Brigade
Green Street (good underrated movie for those that have not seen it)
Bad Education (funny british comedy with Jack Whitehall)
Formula 51 sometimes listed as the 51st state (another great underrated comedy/action movie)

Anybody else look for movies to buy online to watch online and have trouble finding some movies. If so what are some movies you want to buy but cannot find.

Spookies. I can only find it streaming on a subs service.

Studio contracts are probably the reason; or just not enough demand.
I happen to be a big fan of your first three; got the DVD's so I can watch them whenever I want

Yeah I got a crap ton of dvds.
My dvd broke years ago so I just started buying online and watch them that way for the most part.

Odd thing is I did buy Father Goose online so you would think Operation Petticoat would be on there. Both fun Grant movies.

haha I had completely forgot about that movie.

Spookies, puppetmaster, ghoulies and the reanimator movies.
All cheesy as heck but fun watches back in the day.

Out of that entire list, it blows my mind that The Abyss is not available online for purchase. With these movies, I wonder what the blocking factor is. Is someone high up involved in the rights just demanding more money than is being offered or is it a right dispute between two or more studios/groups or what?

Are any of those on my initial list on either of those services.
I have not used Itunes in years and I don't buy movies from Amazon.
I am to invested in android and Google/youtube to change now.

But i am curious if those are available on those services.

Amazon - all available except The Abyss
iTunes - all but The Abyss / Formula 51 ( to find Green Street you have to type in Hooligans as well)

I am old enough to have seen it the first time it was on TV. Was pretty scary in many ways.
I think that Cameron got the idea for Skynet from this one.

I have to think so, yes. I remember it from a local afternoon movie show back when I was a kid. Scared me then, still gives me chills to this day.

:omg:
