Say our scouts grade Wentz worlds better than any other QB prospect and they believe that he has Andrew Luck potential.

What would it take to jump to number one?

I also believe the price could be cheaper than years past considering the Titans could realistically get the player they would take at 1 at the 4th slot.

Not saying I would be for it or against it but I'm just curious. If we could work a deal that did not include our second from this year, I would consider it.

In one of the other 3-4 threads about this someone pointed out that we could trade our whole draft this year and it still wouldn't equal the value of the first pick.

I don't think they do it for less than two first round picks, regardless of whether they can get their guy a few picks later or not.

well, this year and next years 1. Is it worth it?
If that pick is a play off caliber talent, yes it is.
However very tough call.

If they grade him out as the next Luck, and they really think we are actually a 12-4 team and 2015 was an aberration, it's definitely worth it. That pick next year will be a late first if the team stays healthy and Garrett takes off the training wheels.

Mind you, these aren't my thoughts. I am simply putting myself in the FO's shoes.

It's too much of a gamble to lose all that to move up 3 spots. The Cowboys can draft an excellent football player at 4 and leave all their future picks intact. Too many needs to fill to be losing picks IMO. I'd rather go the other way and move down a few spots and pick up the extra pick.
