The only reason why "Eli fans" bring the subject up is because Cowboys/Romo fans keep raising the issue like you did with this thread.

I don't sit here thinking, "Eli threw three interceptions. Boy, I'm glad we have Romo rather than him." Maybe if Cowboys fans quit their incessant need to validate Romo by way of Eli, maybe you wouldn't see so many people defending him.

Romo is the Cowboys quarterback. No need to invoke Eli as if we should be concerned about him. We should only be concerned about him if we're playing him. Other than that, I don't care. And his performance today doesn't negate the big throws he made in both Super Bowls he played in.

Yep, Clutch E-Lie threw #150 into triple coverage today and then if that wasnt enough he launched #151.

He now has 59 more INT's than Romo.

So, do all you E-Lie lovers still think E-Lie is better?

He also has 2 SBs more than Romo. Would much rather have SBs.

To be fair, Eli Manning has been a starting QB since the 2004 season. Romo? Not until the 2006 season.


Obviously the more games a QB plays, the more INTs he will throw.

I think the big thing is with Eli is that he gets a pass. Look who wouldn't want two SBs? But it's a footnote that he threw the game losing Int against us in the 4th quarter. And today he throws another 4 interceptions, but it is a small footnote on NBC highlights. He gets a pass for it. Romo doesn't. Eli didn't have a stellar year last year. He went 4 games without throwing a TD. If that was Romo he would be up on a stake.

It doesn't really matter, put Eli on this Cowboys team and see if he had two SB victories. I don't know if the Giants would have won their SBs with Romo over Eli, but I know the Cowboys wouldn't be any better with Eli over Romo.

Im not a Romo hater but I have defended Eli several times vs this particular thread. Not that I THINK either is much better than the other, rather than what i KNOW is that one has two trophies, two rings, and two MVP awards and I'll continue to defend it because if that were Romo with those awards and that interception number I would defend him too... But it isn't him and the person constantly comparing the two has a real issue, I don't get it honestly. Eli is a Giant and 9 times out of ten we don't care about him aand the tenth time he is playing us. Well i've just discovered number 11, the person that hates Eli so muuch he starts threads here and gets mad everyone doesnt agree with him.
