He's never missed a game AND he's started every one since he's been in the league?

I didn't know that. That's incredible.

He's better on the right side, and he's still not great covering the crossing routes, but other than that, he's a solid all-around player. Plus, he's like a bad penny that turns up every week. It's nice that off the field he seems to be a really good guy. If somebody's got to get overpaid, it's good that it's a guy like that. I do like the dude, though.

Pretty good, Carr is. Critisized for the hype and the contract , but has proven a valuable member of team , consistent .

I always loved Carr here. I always rooted for him to get more turnovers just to shut the naysayers up. But I think this video sort of proves that Carr really could careless and maybe I shouldn't either. There's a lot ot say about a player being as durable as he is and playing every game he's been in the league. Because let me tell you, that means he's done a lot of playing hurt. And who knows. Maybe some of those games he struggled he may have been dealing with a undisclosed injury. But he never makes excuses. And while his 50 million dollar contract was overpaying.......at least we got a quality football player and quality human being. He could've been.......Greg Hardy.

I think most of the criticism was due to his contract.

I'm still not sure why the Cowboys gave him 50M. It seems like they were bidding against themselves. That was the off-season that Rob Ryan said he was looking for CBs. Rumors were that RR whispered to Jerry that all he needed was CBs and he guaranteed a great defense. That was also the year they drafted Claiborne.

RR got his CBs, the defense was crappy and RR got fired over the phone.
I don't think they bid against themselves. I think they had to deal with the CB market when Corteland Finnegan got all of that money he got. Carr was considered the better cover guy and was younger. They simply had to play the free agency game. Its the price you pay when you don't hit on draft picks. Giants paid their 200 million this offseason......and I have a feeling they are going to be saying the same thing about some of those specifically Vernon.
