If there's a secret weapon in this offense it will be Dunbar, teams will be worrying about Dez and the passing game Dunbar will be 20 yds up field before you can spit.

And I think back to when they did the same with Barber and Jones in camp....

Dunbar is a weapon for sure. His only problem is that he's so small. He can't take too much of a beating without getting hurt.

His knee injury was from the way he went down, not from the hit itself.
He's been playing undersized all his life, I'm sure he's tough enough to withstand most hits. Plus he can be elusive, and may know how to avoid those hits. Emmitt knew how to avoid them as did other RB's.

Injuries are injuries. I do still worry about him holding onto the ball tightly enough. Hopefully, he's addressed that, because he's a great change of pace for us.

His history says otherwise. I've never seen any RB avoid hits like #22 could. He's no Emmitt Smith.

I'm hoping they'll be smart and use him on the edges.

thats were he can do the most damage and it helps create mismatches with the te's. if he goes out on the edge and they send a lb he can run around him. if they send a safety then the te's are on a lb. if the other safety helps with the te then the wr's are in single coverage and dez will be the happiest man in dallas

I like the idea of splitting them with Romo in shotgun. Murray can be ready for the quick hand-off, while Dunbar runs to the flat, and vice versa. Romo can "read" it from there and decide where to go with the ball.

Dunbar's problem is is he cant stay healthy, hope he can shake off the injury bug because he can really contribute regardless of the type of offense we run.

Sounds like the new OC has a lot more creativity than the last one. Good.

Although I did notice Garrett tried to prop himself today by saying we'd still be in basically the system that has done so many good things lately. LOL.

As long as there are more long plays, both passing and running it.

Don't worry though there is always you to bring him back down.

Having a legitimate offensive coordinator running his own offense here should pay serious dividends. The talent was always above the scheme before, and now they should match.

You want to put your players in positions to make plays, and to do that you have to create mismatches and problems for the defense. Garrett never really could get this down.

I liked what The RHG did as an OC before he became HC. I really believe a HC calling offensive plays thinks too much about winning or losing instead of moving the ball and setting up the defense. I am enthused with a new playcaller who Jason obviously trusts.
