Is it just me, or does the offense seem to be coasting?

Is Dez ever going to beat someone deep?

One problem I see is the lack of time Romo has this season. Nothing can develop downfield because of the Oline.

Enter Murray.

If the offense can start establishing the run, teams will thing twice about just pinning their ears back on every play and Romo will get time.

The Felix experiment is over. He's a change of pace back. 10-12 carries and let him return kicks.

At least you can send that waste of a jersey Ogletree to the bench where he belongs.

I'll say this about the kid, he is only 600 yards from being our first 1000 yard rusher since Julius Jone sin 2006.

What I like about Murray is he is an all around back. I would agree if Dallas can do more in the running game it will help the offense in terms of being able to do more. If the safety have to account for the running game then it will open up things on the back end

and he will get there

Murray will destroy the seahawks

They are third against the run, but that may be due to the fact that they can be passed on. Heck, we were first against the run until last week...

I hope the fact that they can be passed on, doesn't mean we abandon the run game.

Teams do not abandon anything. They take what the Defense gives them. If a team stacks 8 men in the box are you going to run or pass? If you said pass, you'd be right, but why did you abandon the run? Exactly, you didn't. Just like if a team drops 7 in coverage you don't abandon the pass, you take the run.

It's chess. For every move and scheme there is a counter. Last week is the only week where we flat out got out played all season.

I get how it works. What scares me is JG and his will to just throw for the sake of throwing. He seems to have toned that down lately and I see it as a good thing.

I agree. This is why more than one play is called in the huddle and not just in Dallas. How the defense lines up is going to determine how you will attack them.

I know the score had some influence...but Murray had only what, 8 carries last week?

as you said the score had a lot to do with it. When you fall behind by 21 as early as we did it is hard to make a come back by running the ball. Had defense been able to make some stops I think Dallas would have ran much more since they were having some success but the game got away from us quickly

The way Philly came out of the gate I was surprised he got eight.:laugh2:
I wish we could have used the running game more as a defense last week, that is for sure.

The offense is mess because offensive line still isnt set. Dallas offense will go nowhere until they decide on top 5 guys and stay with them thru thick and thin till end of year.

Dez has gone deep...many times. Romo simply doesn't trust him. Nothing will curtail your career quicker as WR by running sloppy routes for your QB.

True. See first answer. But there is more to it than this. Romo is also not healthy yet. So the long throws are most problematic. His confidence is also issue.

Agreed.

they haven't allowed a 100 yd rusher thus far. But, on my fantasy cheat sheet it say's they are 27th in the league vs rb's which does not mean they're 27th vs the run.

Miles Austin has been much more of a disappointment to me this year than Dez has. I know Miles had a bad hammy and I also know that our Oline play is keeping us from looking deep, but Miles has basically disappeared. He really needs to step it up.

While I agree with most of this, I long for the days when our offense dictated to the defense rather than the other way around. Really good offenses operate efficiently regardless what the defense is doing. Really good offenses dictate to the defense, at least the majority of the time. We don't seem to do that any more, at least not on a consistent basis.
