I don't know why everyone is freaking out. At this point shouldn't we have simply expected an injury to Murray at some point? The guy hasn't stayed healthy yet in his career so there was no reason to believe he would this season either.

When will the Cowboys luck turn for the better? Guys coming up lame with nobody touching them. Weird, freaky stuff. I hope they dig deep and find a way to win until everybody comes back healthy.

The replay wasn't the best angle but one of the Commanders went for his knee on his plant foot. Looked similar to the play earlier in the day when Elam took out Randall Cobbs's knee for the packers.

I'm actually excited about it.

Im ready to get a RB that can see the hole and make 1 guys miss in the backfield.

sucks for murray he looked awesome early yesterday and was in a feisty mood just like last week.

I really hope he is back against Detroit, that d-line is going to cause all kinds of problems if we cant at least scare them with the run.

I would go with Randle while Murray is out, and I would call back Kendall Lawrence and put him in the practice squad.

Well, many of you guys already know that I don't believe Randle is the answer. I just don't believe he is strong enough to get the tough inside yards we must see in order to keep offenses honest. We've seen what happens when we don't make teams respect the inside run game. 4th Quarter of the Broncos game pretty much says it all.

I think Tanner can be used for a short while if he's healthy but we will still need another guy to be able to spell him if this goes for more then a couple of weeks. Dunbar is a nice outside threat but will he hold onto the ball?

I'm in favor of going out and signing somebody but not for a 4th or 5th. Would need to be somebody cheap as well and that's not MJD. I think that's more along the lines of a Benson, Wells or Smith. I think Turner might be too expensive. I'd say Smith would probably be the best bet of the backs named but IDK.

or we could hand the ball to tanner on the tough short yardage plays and hope murray and dunbar are back in two weeks.

Randle will be fine running the ball. Murray's absence will be felt the most picking up the blitz. Randle nearly got Romo killed from the backside on the Williams TD pass. Expect Philly to test him all game in pass-pro.

I think teams will fear our empty spread over the run.

Yeah, we could do that but I don't think there is any way Murray is back in two weeks and I don't even know about Dunbar or Tanner. Both are still listed as injured right?

Randle, IMO, is not ready. I would hate to lose Romo because of a missed blitz pickup or the fact that teams do not believe we can run. IDK.

Broaddus just said he does not expect Dunbar active next week, so I think it's possible we make some moves. I don't think it's a good idea to just bring 2 RBs (with no FB) to the Philly game.

This was a big oversite on managements part. Of course Murray was going to go down, now you have three guys with a total of 270 yards between them. When the NFC east have rolled over to let you scratch their belly's you don't bother with a proven back up. This makes me angry. If Dunbar/Tanner/Randle are horrible you are asking too much of Romo. Hey do you guys remember when Dallas had a 1000 yard rusher? I don't. A 1000 yards isn't even a big deal these days, 16 players did it last year.

So much talent but can't handle the grinding needed to be an NFL RB. I don't think he has ever played 7 games in a row since we have drafted him

Well, this was always the book on Murray, he was often injured at OU. I know the OU faithful say he played while he was hurt and I'm sure that's true but playing hurt and being effective are two different things. I don't hold it against him, he runs hard and plays physical. You are going to get hurt if you play like that. It is what it is a I guess.

Seriously?

So predictable, every time the Cowboys get hit with injuries there are bound to be posters lamenting the lack of foresight on part of management. Newsflash-no team has depth at every position, especially one paying a franchise QB franchise money.

Newsflash? What is wrong with you?

No depth behind an injury prone player. This isn't to hard to figure out

Seriously.

Eddie Lacy in the second round sure does look about now. We obviously hit on Frederick and Williams, but no question he'd make a bigger impact on the team than Escobar is going to this year.

I think the team really likes our RB depth. It's the fans who are concerned about it.
