Three weeks ago, most named Murray the best Cowboy RB since Emmitt. A few warned about early anointing him like what happened with Julius Jones, but most said they have seen enough.

The past 60 carries, Murray has averaged around 3.2 YPC. And he looked a little soft to me against the Cards - not finishing runs with the physicality that has been core to his success. Over that same period, Felix has averaged over 5 YPC.

Which is it?

1. Murray is a flash in the pan like Julius. In a few years he won't even be on the field, at least not a starter.
2. Murray is a good, solid around back that got off to a hot start. He is a 1200 yards per year guy and a good all around back. But not an elite runner.
3. Murray is a great RB. He will get going again - especially if we get a lead blocker like Tony F back on the field. He will be a top 5-7 back in the NFL for several years, and likely average 4.5+ YPC.

Murray is a very good back and nothing like Julis Jones who would run a draw and nothing else they are not the same type of RB. As for yesterday Arz went into the game putting 8 in the box and relied on one on one coverage. They gave up yards in the passing game but we were unable to make enough big plays to get them to back off of the line.

Yeah I think Murray is Julius. Better yet, I think Murray is Julius and Marion Barber all wrapped up in the same package.

Wait..

He must be Julius Tulius Barber??

Ariz was committed to stopping then run but even still, Murray didn't look as explosive as he had earlier in the year for a few stretches on Sunday.

Murray has gotten a TON of yards on the lead draw. I'm pretty sure his 90-whatever yard touchdown was on one.

I think we are going to see Murray's production come down significantly in the coming weeks.

Like it or not, Felix is still this team's most explosive back and needs to get touches.

Umm, no. Judas doesn't look like Murray to me, although Judas may be more of a 'two cut' guy.

That is your view I disagree. Murray is running a lot more than draw plays and even some of the big runs he has had have not been on draws. As for Felix I like the getting him in the game however I think Murray is the better all around RB.

8-9 in the box and AZ defense is as fast as Dallas and most likely faster. Has nothing to do at all w/ them stopping the run.

Nope....nothing at all.

Why is it stupid? Its a reasonable discussion. I personally don't know how Murray will end up. I am not comparing them in terms of running style, but there is a risk right now that Murray is headed down a similar path. His production is fizzling out in a similar manner, and if you watch the games, he didn't have the same explosiveness or physicality in AZ.

Face it this is the agenda crowd.

No question. Murray = Julius. While were at it:

Garrett = Campo

Romo = Danny White

Dez Bryant = Antonio Bryant.

Doug Free = Solomon Paige.

Have I missed anything? Let's get it all out of our systems.

I think those w/ crystal balls like yourself who don't get what they want immediately have to label it something. It keeps them up at night w/o getting a label on it.

It is what it is and yes...pretty stupid.

But I understand labels. Continue...

Did Solomon Paige have an I in his last name? I always thought he spelled it Page. :mad:

I don't disagree with anything you said...I know he's been effective on more than just draw plays. So was Julius...

And I tend to disagree that he's a better all-around back. He hasn't done anything as far as the passing game this year, and he lacks the explosiveness that Felix brings. I'll bring up the Rams game again...I refuse to believe that with all those holes Felix doesn't have at least the same amount of yards, if not more.

I think the comparison to Julius is good one not so much in running style, but in productivity. Murray is just simply not going to match what he did in the first month throughout his career, just like Julius did. Can Murray have a better career, sure, but he could just as easily fizz.

He looks tired....he has run for 872 yards in span of 7 weeks....his tongue is hanging out. Dallas needs to get felix few more carries and let Murray get his second wind.

Ok. Lets keep playing. Why did Felix average 2-3 more YPC carry than Murray? Luck? Not enough sample size? They expected us to pass when Felix was in?

This is not similar, the guy had a rough game playing vs a defense that was stacked at the line. Hell I have more of a problem with our WR not beating the one on ones they were getting all friken day.

Your description is not what I saw
