IRVING, Texas – When a player such as DeMarco Murray is questionable to play in an upcoming game, most opposing coaches convince themselves the star player will indeed play.
It’s always easier to prepare for that and have the backup play, then believe the reports that a star might miss the game and then it changes at the last minute.
So Colts head coach Chuck Pagano minced no words when asked if he prepared for Murray, stating “yes” followed by nothing else.
But, he also said this offense is more than just Murray, who is leading the NFL in rushing with 1,687 yards.
When asked about Dez Bryant, Pagano had nothing but the highest praise for the Cowboys’ star receiver who has 13 touchdown catches.

Let's just hope the Colts' defense doesn't make it a nightmare for Romo and I don't want to see a a Houdini act from Dez due to Vontae.

Coaches know...media is driving me nuts with this notion we're not nearly as good without Murray. It's comical how they ignore our best player " Romo" and give him zero credit. We won against the Eagles because Romo played smart.. and he delivered the ball as accurate as I've seen. I'm getting really tired of it quite frankly.

I agree and as much as I want Murray in the lineup I think Randle will be able to shoulder some of the load along with Dunbar. I don't expect the Cowboys to change much from what we do, OL need to go out open up some running lanes and protect Romo do that and they will be able to put points on the board

“He’s a nightmare. He’s one of the most competitive guys that we’ve seen,” Pagano said of Bryant. “He’s a great talent. He’s a great player. He’s a combination of size, athleticism and speed."

Size, athleticism and speed? What, you don't think Dez has really good hands, Pagano?

“He’s still got that Houdini in him where he can get out of harm’s way and still extend plays and find guys down the field,” Pagano said of quarterback Tony Romo. “Tony’s playing great football. For 12 years in, his numbers are fabulous. He’s managing the game extremely well. He’s doing a great job and he plays hurt. He plays tough. He plays strong. Tremendous amount of respect for Tony and what he’s been able to accomplish through the course of his long, long career. He’s playing as good as he’s played. He’s playing really well, and we’ve got our hands full.”

His long, long career? What are you trying to say, Pagano? That our quarterback is over the hill?

Wow, I'm really starting to dislike this Pagano guy. What a jerk.

Murray is more patient and physical than Randle but he(Randle)is quicker through the hole. He isn't as good in pass protection as Murray which is what is concerning in my eyes. Let's just hope we don't have too many 2nd/3rd obvious passing situations.

I think we stick to what we do if anything we may see more screens and swing passes to the backs in this game.

Which is why I fully expect to see DeMarco out there Sunday.

How on earth you took that as an insult, I have no idea. It is pretty clear that Romo's career is on the downslope. Before you go crazy on that comment, it is very simple to demonstrate that historically, QBs with injuries and age combining, they could fall off at any time. Romo has gutted through this season and has been performing at a very high level. But put him throwing 50 times a game, he will not be able to handle the pounding. Nothing insulting about that.

I think fans are so used to calling out the Romo disrespect card, they even throw it down when it does not apply.

I honestly cannot recall any time any coach has blatantly disrespected Tony Romo. Media? Different story.

Let's not kid ourselves... The balance on offense is what makes it go. DeMarco needs to be on that field Sunday afternoon. Even if it's for just 15-20 carries, he needs to be there to continue inspiring others around him and creating a sense of calm/balance on offense. Y'all can hoot & holler about Randle this and Dunbar that but I don't trust either of them to sustain an offense the way DeMarco has done all season long.

Wow, I thought it would be pretty obvious that I was joking. Apparently not.

Not kidding anyone, Randle behind that line can help keep the balance Dallas needs, will he play as well as Murray maybe not, will he get as many carries? Maybe not but Dallas does not have to abandon the run because Randle is in the game. I hope Murray can play but it really depends on what he can and can't do. If he struggles to control the ball that only hurts Dallas, if he is unable to block that hurts Dallas. Randle may not be Murray but is a good RB

Until Tony gets through a whole season with out that "one" play that cost the team an important game, that's how he will be looked at.
I'm confident in Romo always have been. But every time he drops to pass I think to my self, please don't screw up.
I would hate to see our season end on Romos arm again, he would be blasted yet again.

Can Randle block would be my biggest concern. Keeping that number nine Jersey clean is important.
