I was just looking at Murray's stats. Including the playoffs he played in 8 games against teams with winning records. In those 8 games he ran the ball 195 times for 740 yards. That is a whopping 3.8 yards per carry. The more I look at his stats they were padded by gaining a bunch of yards against bad teams along with just an astronomical number of carries.

This team hasn't historically (recently) been successful against good teams. That isn't limited to Murray though. That being said, I would assume most players are in the same situation against good teams.

How low? How low? How low can 'Boys fans go? To make themselves feel better about losing DeMarco?

I think that's catchy. Just MHO.

Look I don't really care that he is gone and the front office was correct in what they did. Fans that are cutting up Demarco now that he has moved over to the darkside just have to stop with all the bashing of him. He gave us a heck of a year and I will be forever grateful to him for that.

It's harder to perform against better competition. It really is that simple.

He is gone.

So we now turn to what, disparaging his all-time year to make ourselves feel better?

Sorry, but that is pathetic.

Your "idea" might have worked before free agency hit.

Wow. Pathetic is kinda harsh, but I get your point. You have to admit though...I haven't seen anyone break down his stats like that. a 3.8ypc isn't great. Maybe its that persons way of coping with the departure of Murray. I'll say it does help feel more confident another RB or Rookie can come in and have above average success after reading that Murray had 1100+ yards before contact. So take it as a way of understanding the FO moves and idea's rather than Pathetic.

Murray might not have been a home run hitter, but I really respect his ability to get the "dirty yards". The things we will miss the most are those tough yards and blitz pickup.

I agree. I never was a big MURRAY fan. In all honesty I'm glad he's gone cuz I hated him lol BUT he had one of the best years a rb has ever had. And THEE best in cowboys history. Can't put the guy down for that. He played very well and played hard. I don't wish him luck at all but we had a great year no need to **** on it

not everyone was sold on Murray as an elite back.

either that is some big surprise to you...or you just like to ***** and moan.

Just a fun fact: two of Murray's four lowest rushing outputs last year were against his new BFF's, the Eagles (73 and 81 yards). He ran for 79 against Arizona; but that was misleading since Brandon Weeden was the quarterback that week. And his 58 against the Colts was with a broken hand.

Yeah, this is what I've been saying about Murray all season. Good RB, not great. Held up and got a ton of carries. Not the main reason why the Cowboys were so successful running the football.

He had his career year here. He might have a season or two in Philly where he gets 1,000 yards but I expect him to turn into Eddie George in the not too distant future.

Disparaging Murray's year is silly.

He had an amazing year. I don't think he's an elite back though. I think he's solid.

I think an elite OL can make solid backs play at an elite level.

Neither was I. Nor was I obtuse enough to buy into the black and white, either or, all Murray or all OL mentality.

Losing him was not good, but not the end of the world. It is clear we couldn't and shouldn't have paid him what the Eagles did. I still will not use that fact and then back track and rationalize that he just was not that good in the first place. He functioned well in the system, had great chemistry with that line and fit. He did not trip over himself to 1800 yards. He had his part.

either that is some big surprise to you...or you just like to ***** and moan.

No, not a surprise. I get that concept he was just some player, it is just asinine though.

But to someone like you who loves to correct others when you think they are *****ing and moaning, I would not expect anything otherwise.
