Trust me, this is Cowboys related.

I get emails from the cowboys and so I open my email from them and they are advertising Wendy's Mushroom Swissburger.

hey, I like Mushroom Swissburgers as much as the next guy but wth are they doing sending me an advertisement that has NOTHING to do with the Cowboys.

If I wanted email alerts about the next great hamburger, I would sign up for it.

Jerry doesn't have enough money he has to clog my in box with this crap?

As you can tell, I hate spam.

OK, off my soapbox now.

Just block it. Jerry must really be having problems financing this beast of his. Maybe he's in worse shape than we'd all like. Doubt it but this does kinda cross a line if he's actually selling emails.

For the first time ever, I agree with Cajun. That email was BS. I'm expecting to read about Kosier going on IR and I get that.

Sure you can just delete it - but the it is just plain wrong to send us adverts.

Hell hath surely frozen. :D

I got the same e-mail. Very strange. I've heard of companies selling e-mail lists (which is wrong in my book), but to put your company's name in the "From" box when the e-mail is not related to your product/service is basically false advertising.

Anyone who puts Mushrooms on a Cheeseburger needs to be stabed to with in a inch of his life with a frozen fish stick.

Looking at your Ware .gif, I just realized Bradie James wanted to go up to Ware there but hesitated after. Even Bradie is afraid of him.

I hate junk email, too, especially if it sneaks in under the name of a trusted source like the Cowboys.

I quit eating hamburgers out when I found a piece of tree bark in my last burger - not from Wendy's. I don't care how it got in there.

Living on a cattle ranch, we still fix hamburgers at home but the meat comes from our own cattle and it doesn't have any tree bark in it. Our beef is grass-fed, hormone-free, antibiotic-free, e. coli-free and we know exactly where it comes from and what's in it and what's not in it. Grass-fed, grass-fattened beef also doesn't have the artery clogging Omega-6 fatty acids but the healthy Omega-3s. Our ground beef comes from the whole cow not just the scraps like commercial burger.

That's goodness Wendy's can only dream about.

There are some advantages to being a country hick.

I just sent this email titled: Unsubscribe.

To whom it may concern

I regret to inform you that this Wendy's Swiss mushroom burger e-mail is totally unacceptable. When I signed up for the Dallas Cowboys e-mails I expected and trusted that I would receive e-mails that were exclusively Dallas Cowboys offers and news information.

Whats next?

Ads for Bank of America Dr. Pepper and Ford trucks? I don't think so. If I wanted those I would sign up for them.

Respectfully remove me from this list.

Thank you.

I may follow your example.

I ordered one the other day.

I haven't looked, but I'm guessing by the fine print at the bottom that you just have to go log into your account and unsubscribe from "Partner" emails.

This is typical marketing for 99% of sites you sign up for, and you can always unsubscribe, because that's the law.

Edit - here's how to unsubscribe:

Click the link marked "Update your account preferences" at the bottom of any of the emails. This takes you to your Preferences page.

Scroll down to the "Edit Email Preferences" section and uncleck the option marked "Offers: Offers & Newsletters from the Dallas Cowboys"

Simple as that.

Got another one today about Motorola.

I unsubscribed.

I'll just go to their website each day to read the articles.

Or better yet, just come here as I always do and read it.
