You might like Yeasayer too they toured a lot w/MGMT. One thing that confuses me is that MGMT went from kinda unknown to really big very fast and their music can be pretty inconsistent. I know on their albums they have like 2-3 really good songs then the rest is pretty much mediocre.

Music is a universal language...if you really listen to different music, there is always something good about ir, otherwise it would not be called music.

So, I like it all...there is always something in music.

There are all sorts of catchy songs that are hard not to sing along with even if you don't like yourself for doing it. Every time I hear Achy Breaky Heart I dona't know whether to shoot myself in the head or sing along. My desire is to shoot myself in the head, but I can't help singing along in my head. My first reaction is just to turn it off quickly so I don't have to make the choice.

That's called an ear bug. When you listen to the last song on the airwaves...it might stick in your ear.

It's worse when you have an ear bug when you lay down to sleep. Over, and over...

I love him. I just don't understand why. And my friends give me endless crap about it. It *is* piano music, and he does use lines like 'real-estate novelist', calls 'money' 'bread'. He's definitely a guilty pleasure for any real man's-man, right?

Just tell them that he's "played all kinds of palaces, layed all kinds of girls."
He's got an enormous amount of outstanding music. I seriously have no problem defending the greatness of Billy Joel. 3 of my favorites are "New York State of Mind" (as the Cajun one pointed out) , Stop in Nevada & While the Night is Still Young.

Rock music is my favorite, but I will actually listen to anything that isn't crap. My second favorite is symphonies.

Enigma's 1st album, "MCMXC A.D." always fascinated me.

I think because this gal put it on one memorable summer afternoon, while we were knocking boots in the middle of Lake O' The Pines TX, on the top deck of her Daddy's houseboat.

That kinda thing sticks with ya, don't cha know?

:laugh2: Seems like a lot of females had a similar fascination with that one. We nicknamed that the "action album" back in my High School days.

How cool would it have been if it was Sandra's houseboat?

My music library is all over the map, but sometimes I wonder why I listen to Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli...then I realize that it is just...good...music.

I love hearing these guys sing. Their voices are amazing.

Sounds like Michael Irvin et al would have been regular customers back in the 90's.
