Musical artists who avoided the sophomore slump

Rush got better and better with each successive album. It really helps to avoid the "sophomore slump" when you can add an otherworldly talent like Neil Peart. But, even after Neil joined each album got a little better, all the way to 2112 and probably peaking at Moving Pictures.

Well it's pretty easy to avoid when you couldn't be any worse.

As far as avoiding a slump Nirvana is a good one mentioned here as far as popular music. I prefer their album Bleach over Nevermind myself.
