Well, it came with this USB dongle, but that sucked really bad.

Since I started using my Digitech RP355 and AISO driver, I haven't actually messed with the Ampitude since. I believe I can use it with my Digitech, but I just haven't tried yet. I will have to do that.

Here is the Shared Licks thread I started. Couldn't really get anyone to share and keep it going so it died off.

Here is the Name That Tune thread.

My Spider III is the 30 model. It has a few models, but not anywhere near as many as the larger models. I think around 75, they really start getting lots of effects and stuff.

Just wondering if guys like Juke and BrainPaint, amongst many other musicians members who post here...have any of you tried the Line 6 modeling stuff or the Vox has one too. There are many other things people have been using like guitar rig. But I'm really impressed with all the amps I get in the Pod HD 500....some people are using guitar rig etc...

Me, I had to sell all my stuff a while back. That included an 1980s, Dallas-made, Schecter strat as well as my 70s something Fender bassman head.

I have since had better times and now have PRS McCarty and a Schecter c-1 classic, which are awesome, a VoxAC15 which is the best modern amp I've ever played straight thru.

But what I'm really excited about is the Line 6 stuff. It's like I can have my old amp back when I play thru this HD modeler and I'm so impressed I'm even thinking about getting a Variax, if anyone knows what that is.

I have been out of the market for a while and had know idea how good this line 6 stuff sounded.

Any audio nerds out there? If so, what is your imput about all of this...

I have the POD 2.0 since 2002 I think.
It is hooked to a Crate GFX 2 twelve amp.
I need no more.
I play metal

I can get a good metal sound, too, from the POD. But I guess I just feel stupid for not knowing about this stuff sooner. I've always been an amp guy and I would have bought a few amps had I not found this thing. So has the quality been this good since 2002 in terms of amp models?

On that second clip, you were using your Les Paul? Metallica...

I think mustaine uses some active Seymour Duncans as well...I want to say they are called LiveWires but have not heard them in a guitar yet.

I know I like the emgs as I have a set in my jackson and BC Rich.

Now If I could get that in my dean it might do me well.

Although I have to admit the shape of my dean is a little bit of a pain to play as I am always afraid I am going to chip or break one of the tips.

I really would like to have the Warlock shape, with the dean V neck and 81/85 emgs and a floyd. I think that might be my perfect guitar.:laugh2:

Going back to pickups, I like Duncan and you can throw PRS of any kind in a guitar and I'm thinking about doing that to my C-1 Classic in the bridge pickup. ...they sound great and another one is Van Zandt, or something? They are handwound and sound great.

And if anyone has a legit 80s Schecter, made in Dallas, and wants to sell it for under a grand...I want it!! LOL

I LOVE 1980s Schecters!

It is very possible, but I lean more towards my Ibanez. It has the thick sound to it like the Les Paul produces by itself, but that could easily be the recording software. The recording doesn't sound just like it does through the headphones when I'm playing. (headphones are plugged into the Digitech) Cakewalk when recording that way seems to lose something and produce a thicker sound.

When I get a chance, I will record with both and compare the two.

I can't speak for other models, but everyone I know has the POD is very happy with it.
I got mine set on Double Rectifier,It sounds thick and dominant.

I have the 500 and I go to Pod's website and download others' tones and delete and make my own as I please.

I'm so happy with it. I just can't get over how much I love it. I thought it may take away the tone from my guitar. But it doesn't. My pickups sound just like I want them.

What's crazy is I can get some sick feedback just like from the old amps. And it acts the same way...you know what i'm saying?

What other kind of gear do you like? For guitar, I think I might get a compressor and preamp and be totally happy forever.

I just don't know what to get.

And yeah, the rectifier models sounds pretty good.
