Got bored waiting for an appointment so I decided to go to the Falcon's messageboard to see what they think of their team and maybe some of their opinions about ours, even though we don't play until 2 weeks from now.

One topic I found interesting was one called "Atlanta Falcons most feared team in the NFC"

I'm looking forward to reviewing this thread after everybody remembers that this offense relies on a running back who carried 376 times last year, a second year quarterback who looked staggeringly average towards the end of last season, and a 33 year old tight end.

we have a probowler at every skill position i'd say yes

If I had to rate it, I'd say:

1- Saints
2- Eagles
3- Giants
4- Falcons
5- Vikings

This thread entitled "Cowboys/Panthers" was interesting:

All this Cowboys love on MNF nearly makes me sick to my stomach. I almost hope the Panties beat the crap out of them...,but I said almost. My hypocrisy only goes so far since I hate the Panties too and 0-3 would look good on them. Maybe they beat the crap out of each other and it ends in a tie. That would be as good as a loss for both teams. :p

Cowboys fans need to get real. They are the most over-rated team in the league. Im not hating, im just being real. Here's why:

1.. Romo is the most over-rated QB in the league.
2.. Ware hasnt even gotten a sack yet
3.. Running game is all they have left and thier backs cant even stay healthy.
4.. Atlanta's 2nd reciever, Michael Jenkins is better than their "top" reciever, Roy Williams

No hate.. just real. They'll see who's really 'America's Team' come week 7 when Atlanta travels to Dallas...

Losing 10-3 against the freaking Chiefs at halftime.

Man oh man, we should expect to see Gruden as the HC next season.

if Dallas plays like this against the Saints and Falcons it's gonna be ugly

I hope we both run up something around 100 points between each other on the freaking ********.

Took out the 9ers, so thats definitely something I can't help but be happy about!!

I would love to shut these guys up.

The Falcons are playing pretty well right now but the Cowboys have the talent to beat them.

No offense ,but I'm getting sick and tired of hearing how much talent The Cowboys have.

Can't prove it by me the last few years.

You think that's bad? I have to LIVE with these bozos. My house is literally a 10-minute drive from the Georgia Dome. All I have to do is get on 10th Street and keep drivin' straight shot and I'm there. I have Cowboys stuff all over my office. I am going to hear it from everyone on the floor before and after the game unless we do the impossible and find some way to win. Falcons fans were already insufferable last year when they figured out their team was good. They are downright unbearable right now.

Atlanta has played exactly one impressive game this season.

They're a good team, but it's not like they've set the world on fire this season. They had less than 260 total yards and lost by 16 points to the Patriots. They allowed 440 yards to the Panthers and won by only eight. And they had only 281 total yards against the Dolphins. They're averaging only 3.5 yards per rush, and their defense has fewer sacks than we do.

Meh, Falcons are a decent team. Nothing really scary about them. We will be coming off fresh from the bye week and hopfully ready to play.

Matt Ryan is overrated. Everyones on his nuts but he's not that impressive. We should be able to stop that squatty little ***** Turner too.

Your right - Wish more people would think logically. Same with the Giants - they are being annointed as best in the NFL yet they have played Tampa, Washington, US(in the worst defensive pass coverage showing i have ever seen) and Oakland - wait till they hit the wall. (AKA play good teams).

You see the Giants sched for the next 8 weeks?

Murderers row. They could very much go 3-5 over that stretch.

Shhhhh! Why do you have to go and spoil it. Want something to crow about when we beat them in two weeks.
Tired of having to qualify this teams wins.

Exactly. If we don't make some drastic changes to stem the current tide Atlanta will wipe their ***** with us come Week 7...

We do always seem to play inspired football after the bye week under Wade Phillips so who knows.

I had not but i'm glad to hear it. Here comes that wall, i just wonder how ESPN will spin it when their pet giants lose repeatedly. Guess they'll have to jump back off Eli's .

I live in atlanta too. It's easy to shut them up. Atlanta is the ultimate fairweather city. All major sports have 1 championship between them. The falcons EVEN WHEN THEY ARE GOOD, the fans sell their tickets. Anyone who has been to a Cowboys/Falcons game in atlanta knows the game is not even close, it's EASILY more cowboys fans than falcons. That applies anytime a big team comes in town.

They have no loyalty. The yankees and red Sox came in town this year (back to back series) and all 6 games were more away fans then hometeam.

The Falcons game is a benchmark, in my opinion.

We know the Cowboys are capable of beating the NFL's worst teams. We also know the Cowboys are not capable of beating the NFL's elite teams (at least right now). The Falcons are a quality team, most definitely a playoff contender but not quite in the category of the Giants, Vikings, and Saints.

By beating the Falcons, the Cowboys elevate their status into the next tier of teams. By losing to the Falcons, the Cowboys fall back into the ranks of the mediocre.

that's true but if there is any kind of silver lining, they certainly do not get blown out by the elite teams (NYG and DEN) and have had very good chances to win those close games. Need to work on finishing..

Good analysis, I agree completely.

The Falcons are not quite an "elite" team, but they are not a doormat team either. Everybody is questioning our wins right now since we have not beat a team with a winning record. Thus, a win against Atlanta would go along way to shutting people up.

They are just happy that they maybe are on the verge to having their first ever back to back winning season. So you have to laugh at a fanbase that knows nothing else but losing.
