It's Jackson and it won't be close.
Agreed. He's played the NFC #1 seed, NFC #3 seed and the AFC #2 seed

In those 3 games he had 1050 yards, 11 touchdowns, zero picks.

That's a done deal. Gorico platinum guaranteed.

Has a kicker ever won mvp... cause Aubrey has had a remarkable season.

I'd say after today, Lamar bout wrapped it up.
Yes. Mark Moseley (sp?) of the Washington Re...uh, the Washingtons.
It was a strike shortened season in the 80s.

It's done. Lamar's has -10,000 odds to win MVP, and Ravens already clinched the 1-seed so there's no chance Lamar plays next week to potentially ruin his chances. He capped off the season with a 56-point perfect game against Miami.

Also, Micah had 1.5 sacks in the past 5 games and has ruined his chances to win DPOY. Nobody is getting personal accolades this year, so the only chance for redemption is a Super Bowl title.

If Lamar wins he'll only be I think the 3rd QB to have less than 30 TDs.

Yeah I think Purdy opened the race up with his 4 pick game...Dak was a sleeper but yeah Lamar won it with that game yesterday. He checks all the boxes.

Yeah, I especially like the way CeeDee throws the ball from the pocket, then blazes downfield to catch his pass. It's borderline superhuman.
Did you see him deftly avoid the sack in the end zone, heave it, then race down beat the CB and score a walkin 92 yard TD?

Since people seem to think that Lamar doesn't have the individual stats to win the award, I wanted to compare him with the other top rated passers.

Only passing (top 4 rated QBs, sorted by QB rating):

1. Brock - 113 rating, 9.6 ypa, 4280 yards, 69.4% comp, 31 td, 11 int
2. Dak - 104.2 rating, 7.6 ypa, 4237 yards, 68.4% comp, 32 td, 8 int
3. Tua - 103 rating, 8.4 ypa, 4451 yards, 69.6% comp, 28 td, 12 int
4. Lamar - 102.7 rating, 8 ypa, 3678 yards, 67.2% comp, 24 td, 7 int

Including running (sorted by yards):

1. Tua - 4518 yards, 28 td
2. Lamar - 4499 yards, 29 td
3. Dak - 4479 yards, 34 td
4. Brock - 4424 yards, 33 td

Total turnovers (sorted by fewest):

1. Dak - 10 total (8 int, 2 fumbles)
2. Lamar - 13 total (7 int, 6 fumbles)
3. Brock - 13 total (11 int, 2 fumbles)
4. Tua - 17 total (12 int, 5 fumbles)

So including Lamar's 821 rushing yards (5 rushing TDs), he's ahead of Dak and Brock in total yards. Even including his 6 lost fumbles (he runs more), he's behind only Dak for total turnovers (Tua has 5 lost fumbles despite only rushing for 67 yards all season).

Overall, Lamar is right up there with these guys statistically. They all have about the same number of total yards and completion percentage. Tua has the worst total TD/turnover ratio. Dak has a slightly better TD/turnover ratio than Brock, but Brock's yards per attempt gives him the edge in QB rating. You could argue that Dak (or Brock) have the best statistics, but they're not significantly better than Lamar, whose team just embarrassed the best teams in the NFC and AFC the past few weeks.

Individual statistics + team success + wins over top opponents = Lamar is MVP.
