I admit that the defensive isn’t quite where I’d want it to be after this, but there are so many holes on this team that it really is impossible to fix this team in 1 offseason. The idea would be to let Coen cook with a strong o-line and added weapons and hope Saleh can coach the D enough to be middle of the road.

Jerry would never be "comfortable" with Coen but I like the idea. Your most intriguing draft pick is McCord. All the guy does is produce. He could rise if he impresses during draft season.

By “comfortable” do you mean that he wouldn’t be headline grabbing enough? If so, yeah, you’re probably correct

Love the post but don’t think we’re doing enough to move the needle at WR and DT which are the 2 biggest needs IMO.

Obviously can’t fix it all in 1 offseason so good efforts!

So are you putting Mingo on the practice squad or cutting him ?
Cause if that dude doesn't make next years team somehow, I might lose my **** on Jerry.
If we have to give up 2 5th round picks and a 6th to get back where we should have stayed - I'm gonna blow a fuse !

I'm liking Smith, West, and McCord middle rounds A+ work.

I like adding veteran CB who won't break the bank, although Douglas is having a good year which should drive his numbers up

Also, like Josh Palmer another veteran pickup that shouldn't break the bank ,yet add decent production.

An offensive tackle is something Id hate draft day. It doesn't really matter what you like on draft day though, does it.

This is probably Prescott's last contract. Or at least thats a strong possibility. There is a good chance we start a rookie in 4 or 5 years. Whata a rookie QB's best friend? A stong set of veteran OT's

Love the effort, but outside of the coaches not much of a fan. Don’t love the OL pick in rd 1 as are no where close to those tackles from last year

Banks could be an elite guard. I get what he is trying to do. We would be elite up the middle on the offensive line. I am in favor of finding away to get an elite position group on the team for next season. Can’t go wrong with Smith, Bebe, and Banks on your interior.

I am scared to death that a fan can post a better plan on a message board then what will happen in reality.

You don’t need high picks all through the line to be successful. We already have a 1st rd guard, don’t need two, that’s a waste of resources

Detroit and Philadelphia are proof that it’s not. You take best player on the board if Banks is there at 13 you take him. We have to late first round picks on the line. That is not wasting capital on the most important position group on your team next to quarterback.

I agree completely. The most important thing in drafting is just making sure that you hit on a player. I'd much rather hit on an early OL pick than miss on a riskier player i dont like as much because its a more premium position. As long as you can get a player on the field I think you just trust your draft board in the early rounds.
