#1 Offensive Coordinator - Norv Turner
#2 Defensive Coordinator - Dom Capers

Offensive Free Agents
WR - Terrell Owens (Yeah, I said it)
C - Kevin Mawae
RT - John Runyan

Defensive Free Agents
Corey Chavous

Special Teams Free Agents
Mike Vanderjagt

Big time cuts
Al Singleton

Players traded
Greg Ellis
La'Roi Glover

First Day Draft Picks
OT, OG, CB/FS/WR

Depth Chart
QB - Bledsoe, Henson, Romo
HB - Jones, Barber, Thompson
FB - Polite
WR - Owens, Johnson, Glenn, Crayton, Copper/Crowder
TE - Witten, Campbell, Ryan/Pierce
LT - Adams, Rookie
LG - Allen, Peterman*/Rookie*
C - Mawae, Johnson, Gurode*
RG - Rivera, Gurode*/Peterman*/Rookie*
RT - Runyan, Pettiti

Norv Turner will turn this into a powerhouse offense. With a pro bowl offensive linemen at every position, Bledsoe WILL have time. And defensives will have to contend with THREE #1 receivers, and Witten, and Patrick. Not to mention the threat of our running game with Julius and Marion.

On defense Dom Capers will mold our 3-4 into something special (Doomsday Defense III). And maybe he can influence some 3-4 players to come with us. I think when we solidify our secondary and our defensive rookies come to head, we're going to be great. I'm not saying Lets trade la'roi and greg, but if that happens, I'll understand. two of my favorite cowboys by the way. I think we need to get another edge rusher in our linebacker corps. And I think we're we probably have too much money tied up on the defensive line.

On special teams, I say we get vanderjagt, simply cause he is automagic.

The draft should focus on our offensive line, and maintaining our secondary.

Henry - Chavous - Williams - Newman
Ware - James - Burnett - XXXXX
Spears - Ferguson - Canty

Glenn - Adams - Allen - Mawae - Rivera - Runyan -- Witten - Johnson - Owens

BP is a very strong defensive mind....we need a REAL OC in a big way. Someone he can literally turn the offensive duties over too. What we've seen the last 3 years AIN'T working.

With all the love that Capers gets, you'd think the Houston D didn't suck.

Not to sound like a broken record, but what talent does he have on defense? Dunta Robinson and Travis Johnson on defense, IMO they let Aaron Glenn and Sharper, two of their best D players walk.

I guess I could live with this. I've always thought Turner was a good OC. I'm not sure about Capers pairing with BP.....interesting.

I wouldn't say no to Al Saunders, but I seriously doubt his offensive style would "jive" with BP.

Sorry, but I can't stand any of these. Differences of opinion are healthy though. My main beef is that all of these players are well over 30. Do you really want to spend big bucks on fellas over 30?

Not me.....

I would much rather have LeCharles Bentley of the Saints at C. He's younger, and better at this stage. Runyan is a shell of his former self, and he's a brainfart waiting to happen (he cost Philly big time vs Wash). Don't get me started on TO.......hate the idea of him being here.

He would be a good pickup. Our secondary would be pretty darn salty with him. I think we'd have the best secondary in the NFL with him, Newman, Williams, Henry, and Glenn.

I'd also look to add an OLB like Kalimba Edwards, or even John Abraham (he WOULD NOT be cheap).

Nice effort. I like to see other ideas, even if I don't always agree. I understand this is a DREAM scenario, so I guess I shouldn't comment on how BP would interact with some of the players and coaches you've selected.

Here's my first attempt at a "Dream Offseason".

I won't worry about coaches just yet....although Norv would be nice. I'd also like to see the OL coach from KC or Green Bay.

QB: Bledsoe, Henson, Romo, Jacobs* (yes, I'm wussing out here....I want to see these guys duke it out in camp).
RB: Jones, Barber, Thompson
WR: Johnson, Glenn, Crayton, Blackmon* (yes, for developmental purposes and he'd contribute greatly on special teams), and Copper.
TE: Witten, Campbell
OL: Adams, Allen, Bentley, Rivera, Scott*, Pettiti, Columbo, Peterman, Gurode
FB: Polite, Runnels*

DL: Spears, Fergie, Canty, Ratliff, Watson*, Johnson, Massey*
OLB: Fujita, James, Burnett, Ware, Lawson*, Fowler
S: Williams, Hope, Pile, Davis, Beriault
CB: Newman, Henry, Glenn, Reeves

FAs: LeCharles Bentley and Chris Hope

Draft Picks:
1st: Johnathon Scott--Texas
2nd: Manny Lawson--NC State
3rd: Omar Jacobs--Bowling Green
5th: Gabe Watson--Michigan
5th: Will Blackmon-- Va Tech
7th: JD Runnels-- Oklahoma
UDFA: Pat Massey-- Michigan

Now, I'm not certain of the rounds these guys will be picked in yet. I think the top two are certainly possible (right now). Jacobs has been listed anywhere from the first round, to the fourth round. I think Watson will fall due to his less than stellar play this year. Blackmon will fall because he flipped between WR and CB.......But hey, this is a dream offseason......

Definitely not a 53 man roster.....this is merely an offeason.....I do reserve the right to tweak this thing as we go.

I am really lovin all those FA pickups. Those are great great pickups and i seriously think they are the missing pieces to the puzzle!!!
Have you been reading my mind?
Those are the players that i really think would benefit this team in many positive ways. Great list, I agree on all those FA pickups. 100% agreed!!!
I dont want Capers though!!! Zimmer gave us the #10 defense in the league this season and he gave us the #1 in 2003. I think he has done a pretty good job at d. coord. I wouldnt mind having Capers b/c he specializes in the 3-4. I just am fine with Zimmer now.

I agree & disagree with these as well. We need to upgrade the OL, so i think it would be smart to draft an offensive linemen with our 1st round pick. We should consider getting a QB in the draft also, just to let him grow and prosper behind Bledsoe. I think we should keep Laroi and ship off Ellis for maybe a 4th, 5th or 6th round pick. I dont think Ellis would get traded for a pick in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round.

Henry - Chavous - Williams - Newman
Ware - James - Burnett - *Fujita*
Spears - Ferguson - Canty

Glenn - Adams - Allen - Mawae - Rivera - Runyan -- Witten - Johnson - Owens

Bledsoe
Jones

That has the potential to be a #1 defense, especially if we can somehow get Zimmer to really get used to working the 3-4. There is alot of talent on that defense, and it has lots of young talented guys that should produce in years to come.

The offense is kinda old though. Glenn in his 30's, Allen, Mawae, Johnson, Owens, Bledsoe, all in their 30's. They are still great players though. That is a high powered offense right there. That strong line should allow Bledsoe time to get rid of the ball to the threats running routes in Jason Witten, Key, Glenn, and TO. The line should also be able to creat holes for Jones and Barber to run through. I just cant stop looking at that setup and just hoping that we can get these players that'll make it right for us. This sure would be a "dream off-season"!!!!!!!!!!!! Please Bill & Jerry, get these key players that we need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not bad except I'm not sure about Norv Turner and getting Runyan. BTW i'm still pissed at his sorry butt for really hurting the Eagles chances in that game with the stupid penalty
