I question the use of an inversion table for herniated disk in the neck.

I have a herniated disk in my neck and between neck exercises and one of the neck cervical traction contraptions:

Did that for 20 minutes twice a day.

Plus did a variety of neck exercises.

I was able to avoid surgery and while the herniation makes itself known to me every once in a while it's not debilitating at all.

Thanks! I am going to look one of those up on Amazon before the night is over. My posture at times isn't the greatest so the table will at least help with that. And i have about 3-4 good stretches i do that seem to be helping the pain/numbness running down my left arm.

The traction unit I have is a wedge shaped device, with braces that hold the base of your skull as you lie on your back. Then you use a built in hand pump to pull your head away from your body. It's much more relaxing than standing in front of a door.

I think proper exercise is the only way to truly improve your posture.

I had one of those but my wife made me return her. Got to keep the traction thingy but I was really bummed.

I had one that hung over the door and it came with a bag that you filled with sand as the weight that tried to pull you over the door. Took a little trial and error and my wife filled the bag the first time and it lifted me off the chair and damned near hung me. I thought of calling the police on her for attempted homicide but then I lacked evidence and had been on good behavior. I told her about doing that and she looked at me and deadpanned "you really think I'd need a motive"?
