Watching this team is almost like watching an old boxer on his last leg who thinks he still can fight but is way past his prime like Ali, Holyfield, Chuck Lidell, but their skills have diminished so badly that they get pounded into submission and you just hope that they don't get permanently injured!

The Cowboys are one of the youngest teams in the NFL, even with Witten.

It is not the team, it is the coaching.
And the one on his last leg is the culprit senile owner still clinging to a lame hand picked coach hoping he can still do it.

I'd love to pound Garrett into submission.

Except those guys were champions trying to relive the glory. These cowboys haven’t accomplished squat.

Have you ever worked at a place where no one had any respect or confidence in the boss? People just start doing their own thing, slacking off, losing interest, quitting. It’s the worst thing for a team when there is no real leadership.

I have worked a place like you are describing and the fact of the matter is their/our boss was going to be fired and we lost sight of the BIG picture...we forgot to work/play for the sake of our jobs! Some of these guys better be playing for their resumes starting now or they won't be getting any new contracts once the new boss is hired.

More like Rocky 3 - Rocky/players living the "Hollywood" lifestyle doesn't take his training seriously and Clubber Lang knocks him out.

The only way this team breaks out of their 20+ year slump of mediocrity is to make Jerry and son uncomfortable enough to step down or aside and hire a real GM. This DC FO has sold a flea circus for 2 decades. Using smoke and mirrors building a top notch stadium, practice facility everything except the most important aspect (which $$ can’t buy)and that is a winning team on the field. All Jerry’s billions obviously cannot buy himself and fam football knowledge and expertise. That has to be earned.
For the betterment of the team, I hope we get wiped out and humiliated this last few weeks and something miraculous happens with a twinge of humbleness entering Jerry’s demented egotistical mind.
Here’s to miracles.

The Cowboys are a relatively young team.

My analogy of this team is a ten year old Toyota Corolla with a spoiler, a hood scoop and a cherry bomb.

A lot of show but not much go.
