1: Jalen Ramsey FS, FSU

We likely miss out on Goff and Lynch. Too high for a HB or #2 WR and I wouldnt take Hackenberg or Cook here. This pick goes to the secondary with two elite talents on the board, Ramsey and Hargreaves. IMO Ramsey is the better prospect, and I also feel Jones is a better NFL CB then FS, so I go Ramsey here

2: Carson Wentz, QB, North Dakota State

Top of the 2nd round is a sweet spot for QB's in this draft. Three guys I really like here are Wentz, Kiel and Brissett. Im going with Wentz right now because he seems to have the most upside and is the better value. However I think Brissett is the most capable of the 3 to play early if Romo goes down again

3: CJ Prosise, HB ND

We miss out again on a lead runner, however we take a guy that could wind up being the best back in the class long term. Prosise has rare skill as running/ receiving threat, however he has only played the position for 1 year so he probably isnt ready just yet to be a NFL bell cow. I think he would have a role similar to Duke Johnson next year, and take over as the lead guy later in the season

4: Tyler Matakeivich, OLB/MLB Temple

Yet another 4th round LB. Would have liked to take one earlier, it was just behind other postions in value and priority. Matakeivich however I feel is a better pro prospect then Hitchens and Wilson were, and like them he was both productive and versatile. I believe he would push Wilson and even Hitchens next season if drafted.

4Comp: Sterling Shepard, Oklahoma, WR

Good inside/Outside type WR with quickness and speed could push Williams in TC or replace him in 2017

I would rather address the RB position in the 2nd round with Alex Collins and let the QB position slide one more year. But I love your mock because we get an awesome CB/Safety.

I would, but I really like this QB and see alot of 2nd round talent that could be high level starters.

I think Prosise could be as good as any back in the class, but he just needs a year before he can run the full gammit of running plays. You get a vet like Alfred Morris in FA cheap to split carries with Prosise as a rookie and your running games improves dramatically. Prosises reminds me alot of Devontae Freeman

With QB, I think you strike during a strong year. If you wait you may wind up reaching for an EJ Manuel

I'm not a Prosise fan, seems very average to me. Doesn't seem exceptionally fast, strong, or athletic.

I actually Prosise. He's a 6'1 220 lb back that runs a 4.4 and doesn't waste time dancing the backfield. What's not to like? I wouldn't take him early, but if he were there in the 3rd, I'd prob jump all over it tbh.

As far as your draft, I like Jalen Ramsey, but he will be a FS in the NFL, not a CB. He's struggled this year since moving to the CB position. Hips aren't very fluid. His natural position is definitely FS where he's an elite talent, but Jones is already set to move there for us, so I'm not sure if Jerry and Red would make that pick.

Not crazy about Carson Wentz either. Reminds me to much of Ryan Tannehill, who I'm not a fan of. He also started his career at WR like Tannehll too.

As a Longhorn fan, I know Sterling Shepard all too well. Lacks ideal size at only 5'9" but he's a heck of a football player. Great athlete too. Just wish he was a little taller. Would love him in the 4th round though.

I have him as a FS. I think Jones is a CB

IDK anything about CFB, but isn't it contradictory to say this guy is the one with the "most upside", "better value", and the "most capable to play early if Romo goes down"? Isn't he just clearly the best then since he is better than them now and the future?

I said Brissett was the most capable of the three if Romo went down. Not Wentz. Wentz has more upside and is a better value then Brissett

lol. Wut?

He's one of the fastest players on ND's offense and has shown excellent big play capability. He's a fairly tough runner in traffic but certainly not a bruiser. And to say he's not exceptionally athletic is bizarre considering it probably takes quite a bit of athleticism to go from a safety, to a WR, to a TB and in short order be a 1,000 yard rusher in college.

He's got his flaws, that's for sure. He's not totally polished as a TB. He runs a bit upright too and takes some unnecessary shots.

I'd love to mimic the Eagles strategy where they basically are playing two FS. This allows them flexibility in the nickle and dime alignments. Not sure what kind of tackler Ramsey is.

But I could live with a starting secondary next year of Ramsey and Jones at the safety spots, Scandrick and Claiborne/FA at CB.

He definitely would need a bit of work but his athleticism and speed is not a problem.

One thing that might be a small concern............. he has now had his 2nd concussion.

He is a number 2 here as long as Bryant's here

Either you haven't been paying attention to this year and others with Dez injury history or you just like reading what you wrote. A top 10 talent is not being drafted to be a number 2 lol. Treadwell is every bit as gifted as DEZ. 1A AND 1B! 1a is the WR being targeted!
