If Ramsey is there, I go with him...and a little more about the player:

...“Impressive” was the word Garrett used a time or three when we bumped into each other late Friday afternoon at The Ranch.

I knew Ramsey was 6-1, 209, and has run the 40-yard dash between 4.27 seconds and 4.47, factoring to his 4.41 combine time. I see where he has a 41½” vertical and an 11’3” standing long jump, and had heard he’s the first true Florida State freshman to start at corner since Sanders (1985).

Now here’s what really intrigues me:

This kid won the Tennessee state high school decathlon title. He set the state record in the long jump at 23’3¼”. He ran a 10.5-second time in the 100-yard dash, 21.44 in the 200 and 48.02 in the 400, that last one right there saying something about his competitive nature. Sprinters and jumpers hate the 400. No one volunteers to run the 400, maybe the toughest event in track and field. And if you don’t think so, try running all out once around. Call me if you don’t fall out first.

Oh, that’s not all. He had a 6’8” high jump, a 47’7” triple jump and a – now get this –49’11” shot put.

And even at Florida State, too. Why, he participated in track more as a hobby, something to keep him in shape for football. Ramsey in 2015 won the ACC Indoor and Outdoor long jump titles and ran a 39.28 first leg on FSU’s championship 4x100 relay team. At the NCAA Indoors, his 26’1¾” got him fourth in the nation and was just inches short of qualifying to compete in the 2016 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials this summer...

Don't see Smith lasting until the 4th...Already squating 400lbs...leg squating 600lbs...He's gonna be a steal for someone in the 2nd......

Certainly no sure thing the Cowboys are going to take a QB in round 1.

At the moment I'm thinking it's less than 50%.

And if they don't... who knows?

Could be any round or they may come away with no QB in this draft... wouldn't shock me in the least.

He is a great athlete, but many sources don't even have him as the best CB in the draft. I rather have a great football player than a great athlete.

I've made peace with no QB in the first round but....or they may come away with no QB in this draft.
This could not happen
nor an UDFA

I'd go as far as to say they'll reach even to get a certain tier player. Last year was just too much

Probably smart making peace with it... because it could reduce some draft-day frustration. LOL!

There is a better chance of you going in 4th than smith
I think most of the bad news coming out about his knee is from teams wanting him. We heard the nerve was dead, turned out to be false. We heard he was coming along slowly, from teams who had never checked him out. The reality is any team taking him is looking down the road a year. And it's all going to be about the progress between last check and next check in a couple weeks. If he is progressing like he says, he will go in secobd

At the combine he was walking with a limp and wearing that brace and there were reports at the ND pro-day he didn't have the brace and was walking limp free.

It's going to be interesting to see where this kid goes. I could see Seattle taking him say in the 2nd round because they are so good they can afford a risk like that.

I agree. If he has progressed, and it appears he had, then someone will buy into the fact many thought he was the top player in the draft before injury and take him much earlier than some think

I have to give it an automatic fail for the lack of Carson Wentz.

I don't really like Will Fuller in the 2nd simply because Romo doesn't have the arm to take advantage of him plus his hands are suspect. We do need someone that can stretch the opposing defense, but our defense just needs too much to spend a 2nd on him. QB with a cannon in the 1st with Fuller in the 2nd means our defense gets nearly no help at all.

Good...then you don't also have to watch as the Cowboys play into the Playoffs for two consecutive years...
