I heard from Dane Bruglar state that his sources within the league believe the Cowboys are looking to reshape their offense in this draft. The front office did that last yr with drafting all defense outside of selecting a backup Tackle. Could they do the same on the offensive side of the football this yr?

Seeing so many late defensive prospects coming in for visits, will we see our first defensive player taken on day 3? Really could see this front office double dipping along the OL, drafting both a WR and TE.

I hope I'm wrong, let's hope they use at least 1 premium pick on the defensive side. We shall find out soon enough. I would like the team to address the trenches on both sides of the football, not just the OL.

Unless an elite defensive player falls to them, it will be all offense w their first 3 picks

OL
WR
TE

pick any combination of these to fill out the first 3 picks

I mean, the offense could use an influx of the same youth the defense got last year

Very expensive, aging offensive line
Very expensive, aging RB
Franchise tagged TE
WR core needs an upgrade

Guard, Tackle, Center, HB, TE and WR could all be labeled as needs in this draft.

It's very possible.

It depends on how the draft goes. I think the Joneses are telling the truth. Offensive line unless a Parsons or CeeDee falls. Would you complain if the Cowboys first three picks are two interior offensive linemen with tackle and center flexibility. Then draft a wide receiver or tight end. I would be fine with that.

The question is, do they double up the OL within the top 4 picks? Would really like Sam Williams, I know Travis Jones is a pipe dream for this front office.

Travis Jones/Sam Williams trumps any offensive line combinations.:omg::omg:

And this is why sitting on your *** in FA ends up hurting us.

if i remember...most on here expected we would do this after last years draft.
and considering the sporatic performance of the offense last year...i dont blame them.
it worked last year...why not on the other side.
if thats really their intention.
we'll soon find out.
but its not like the oline couldnt use some talent infusion.

tony pollard is a f/a next year.

some think zeke might get cut.

ceedee is going to be expensive.

tyron smith isn't getting younger.

who's our left guard?

who's our swing tackle?...maybe josh ball.

wr james washington only signed a 1yr deal.

te room could use an up-grade.

thats a whole lotta need on offense.

Nobody is disagreeing with the offensive needs across the board, but believe the defense still has important holes to fill. I would be fine with 1 top 100 pick on defense and the rest on the other side of the football. My sense is, expect the 5th rd to address our defense.

If we could trade down in the first and move up in the second I would not mind a Zion/ Ramann combination.
Raimann is more of a developmental prospect at 25, he is more likely a target at 56 then 24.

Zion in the first with a trade down and Raimann is the 2nd trade up. Both have position flex. Zion can be a center and Raimann can be a tackle. The offensive line would be set. Raimann is probably not going to make it to our spot in the second round.

Zion could play Center, but he has never started a game there outside of the senior bowl. Raimann is kind of like Nate Soldier, who also was a former TE. Very athletic, but needs to get stronger. He would need to add even more weight to his frame if they play him inside. Think he is a future starter at Tackle, but he doesn't have great length for the position. I rather some other team take a chance on him. Just like Tyler Smith, cannot use a 1st rd pick on such a upside player.

I don't believe they will go to that degree, but it's fair to say that OL, WR and TE are all on the table. Also won't rule out a late day three pick spent on RB if they're frisky.

My guess is they will look to find a DE and LB as well based on BPA with their board regardless of round.

Tyler Smith does not appear to be on the Cowboys radar but rumors are he won’t get past Tennessee in the first. Raimann appears to be getting lots of love from Philbon. Again just rumors but I hear positive information at the Star about Burks and Raimann. Not to scare anybody but Raimann rumors remind me of the love that LVE received. I can’t wait to hear what Broaddus has to say…….

I have no problem if this is a an offensive focused draft if our cheap front office added some talent on defense through free agency. They had the money to add an impactful player or three and did squat with it. So irritating.
