My biggest fear-front office carpet bombing O in this draft

We need a new offense more than we need new players.

Tyler Smith does not appear to be on the Cowboys radar but rumors are he won’t get past Tennessee in the first. Raimann appears to be getting lots of love from Philbon. Again just rumors but I hear positive information at the Star about Burks and Raimann. Not to scare anybody but Raimann rumors remind me of the love that LVE received. I can’t wait to hear what Broaddus has to say…….
Wouldn’t go that far, Lve interest was major, we knew he was going to be our pick

Nobody is disagreeing with the offensive needs across the board, but believe the defense still has important holes to fill. I would be fine with 1 top 100 pick on defense and the rest on the other side of the football. My sense is, expect the 5th rd to address our defense.
i still think they'd take a DE at 24 or 56 if the board falls right.
especially at 56.

I have no problem if this is a an offensive focused draft if our cheap front office added some talent on defense through free agency. They had the money to add an impactful player or three and did squat with it. So irritating.
agreed.
they added defensive f/a's last year before the draft...and after roster cuts.
i'm surprised they didn't add a vet o-lineman.
that must mean they see mcgovern as the "fill"...but will look for better on draft weekend.
they like to have their needs "filled" going into the draft so they arent just drafting for need.
if mcgovern is the hole cover...that might be why they didnt sign a vet.
i'm just guessing.
but i am fascinated about how they will conduct their picks...especially at 24,56 and 88.
so many directions they could go.

gotcha.

i wouldn't be surprised if one of those 5th round picks is a running back.
i dont think they will release zeke next off-season...but pollard is a free-agent.

I feel the only two defenders that may have them think twice if picking offense would be Jordan Davis or nakobe Dean.

I have heard they have shown interest with the Michigan running back Haskins, he is a similar type of back like Zeke.

It started with Broaddus saying he say LVE in the lunch room laughing it up with the Cowboys defensive coaches in March. They said practically the same thing about a tall linemen wearing a CMU polo.

Pauline said at the combine, Cowboys were very interested, this is when may were projecting him as a 3rd rd prospect.

I am concerned that we have not heard anything about Green/Zion visits. Voch loves Green and Dean.

Our defense needed improvement….still needs tweaking, but consider this.

There is no defense in the NFL that can shut down modern day defenses. You hope to limit an offense, get a few stops, maybe win the turnover battle, but we have not seen a truly dominating defense in years. Modern offenses and NFL rules make it impossible.

Therefore, we must rebuild the offense, and that starts with the OL. We can get better everywhere, C, G, T. Then polish with a blocking TE and supporting WRs with unique skill sets. Next year we may be looking at a new RB. I believe while Dallas ignored the defense for far too long, the defense is headed in the right direction, but making it elite won’t win anything if the offense doesn’t get back to making the OL a strength and running the ball to open the passing game.

i wouldn't mind if we drafted both of those central michigan kids...
bernhard raimann and luke goedeke.
i love olinemen from the mac.
those players always seem to be tough physical and smart.

I thinking a pick in the 5th rd at the highest.
