My Buckeyes...National Champions!!!

Told everyone when I took the family back there for the holidays that Urban had something good going on. Not surprised by tonight at all. They should be good for a while also.
 
Well I'm sure not a fan but they deserve it. I wasn't able to watch but the score speaks for itself.
 
Based on the teams they beat, I'd say they will go down as one of the best ever.

And with a 3rd string QB.

Don't be fooled by the score. OSU really put it on them. While Oregon missed out on a 4th and goal, the Buckeyes fumbled 3 times in Oregon territory.
 
Just remember...if not for the new Playoff format, Ohio state would not have sniffed the championship.

So at the very least the Playoffs helped a team in a good way.

I really did not think Ohio State deserved to be in. I thought the only reason they were in was because the big 12 screwed the pooch on how they handled things and the committee did not want to do the big 12's work for them.

After that I thought Alabama was going to wipe the floor with them. They wiped the floor with Alabama.

I still did not believe Ohio State had what it takes THIS year due to a third string QB. Though Oregon would wipe the floor with them.

Ohio State wiped the floor with Oregon. What is shocking is they did it even by losing the Turn over battle by a large margin.

It is rare to see a team turn the ball over that much and still dominate another team.

Ohio state proved it was deserving of the playoffs and it proved it was deserving of the Championship.

Scary thing is, everyone was thinking they were a year away.

One last thing...I seen people on a college football board that were convinced that the Ohio State Wisconsin big 10 championship game was fixed so Ohio State could get in. Never mind the stupidity of the thought that Wisconsin would go along with it to be steam rolled like that...just like most conspiracy nutters they refused to believe it was anything other than a set up game for Ohio State to get a Big 10 team into the playoffs.

Well...Wisconsin beat down, Alamaba Beat down..Oregon BEAT DOWN.

Not a conspiracy...TRUTH.

Which sucks to say all of that because frankly I was hoping oregon would win it.

Well you know me. They rolled my Tide so they automatically go on my "I will never cheer for" list. :p
 
I won my 2014-15 Bowl Season football pool because of that game :)
It was only 165, but hey, I'll take it.
 
They for sure deserved it. They dominated oregon! I could've swore they weren't even ranked at one point this season though??

Well thing is, most years we're going to see team do what OSU did in terms of quality wins. Going forward, most national championship teams will have 3 big wins to finish the season: Conference Championship, Semi-Final and Final.

Yes I know it's possible a team goes to the playoffs without a conference championship game so that formula won't hold true 100% of the time, but I think we will see it more often than not.
 
False Champions. The NCAA screwed the would be National Champions by intentionally lowering their rank to prevent them from a playoff birth.

TCU should be the National Champions. Clearly they are the best team. :)

I always have.

That said congrats to them and their fans because they earned it.
 
Cardale Jones press conference at 3:00, if anyone cares. He says he will be announcing a "life-changing decision."
EDIT: He did the smart thing. 3 games just isn't ready for the NFL.
