Numbers Don't Lie: Dallas Cowboys offense poised to explode in 2025

Yet Pickens isn't even a top 25 receiver. What makes him so special?
He is a head case that is worse then TO and Dez combined. At least now we have someone who will be verbal and not pout silently like CeeDee. Gonna be fun to watch the drama from the demise of the Dak

I got my blood stripes in Korea, you? Explain what those are!:flagwave:
Most of the members here have a hard enough time just trying to decipher your posts. And then you want to boast about your resume and pound your chest? Give it a rest.... no one here cares. This is a sports forum, not a military board where everyone talks about their accomplishments in an attempt to one-up each other.

For the record, every Marine knows what the 'blood stripes' are and how they're earned. Or are you ignoring the fact you are talking to a fellow vet?

Don't know so much about him being a head case, but I did look up his 2024 stats and he was average at best. I think he was in the top 30, but that isn't worthy of all the Jerry praise going around over the trade for him.

If Jerry had made a splash trade for a top 5 or 10 - THAT would have been worth something. But we all know Jerry will never do that.

I agree, a 9th or 10th best TE is "not bad".

But is "not bad" mean ALL PRO level?

And not 9th or 10th best TE NOW, but 2 years ago.

That's what this "author" said.

All Pro level. Glad you agree that that's homer hogwash.
Right. I think we should always try to get better and find All-Pros, and Ferguson has not been that so far. Of course, I'm glad we didn't address tight end in the draft this year. I admit that I wouldn't have been upset with us drafting Tyler Warren, but we had lot bigger concerns than tight end.

This is where the potential push at tight end is being dug out ...

Now, it appears he's getting ready to be the third tight end in the rotation, despite entering the pivotal third year. Accelerated growth from second-year UDFA Brevyn Spann-Ford could see him usurp Schoonmaker as TE2 behind Jake Ferguson. Spann-Ford already proved to be a better blocker, and if he confirms rumors of improved pass-catching prowess when training camp begins, it might be time to offload the former Michigan Wolverine.

Can't see us trading Schoonmaker because we need to carry three tight ends. Not only would Spann-Ford need to surpass him but one of the other UDFAs as well. Gotta have depth.

Plus, Ferguson will be a free agent next year and we may not want to move on from him rather than pay market value, like we did with Schultz. These tight ends are good not great, so we probably don't want to pay them like they are great.

But they don't understand. Look at the source of the story - is that an internal media site pushing out rainbows and sunshine in yet another attempt by Jerry and his lemmings to sell, sell, sell the hype and hopium? No one has a clue what this offense is going to look like until Sept 4.
I have been wanting to take a drive to the stadiums pro shop. See what they have for me not to buy.
Been a few years since I did that. And I live 6 miles from there.

I mentioned it to a friend the other day about going. Not to buy anything. But for something to do and get me out of the house other than normal stuff.

Thanks for the idea. But I may be cursing you once I get there. :muttley:
