After looking long and hard at each prospect and doing hours and hours of research (reading forums) not to mentions watching miles and miles of footage (thanks youtube) I have decided who I want the Cowboys to draft this year.

Now normally this decision is not so hard because the last decade or so the Cowboys have had at least one glaring need and it has been easy to figure out the plans. This season not so much there is no glaring need that MUST be addressed early.

So it is my opinion that we draft for the future and select WR Dwayne Bowe. He is fast running around the 4.4-4.5 range and looks like TO after the catch. Not to mention his great size and toughness. I think selecting Bowe gives us a true #1 of the future and a contributor this season in a small role.

So what do you guys think?

Bowe would not be my first choice but I wouldn't be all that disappointed if we took him depending on who else was still available. I would prefer Jarrett or Meachem at WR.

He's not my first choice but I think he's a good choice. He has as much chance of doing well as any other WR. And that probably includes CJ. I would be behind it if it happens.

he's a good choice, but I say Meachem looks more like TO after the catch, I just can't get away from his size, speed and explosiveness, averaging 18 yards a catch on 70 receptions in the SEC is damn explosive

I wouldn't mind him at all if Meacham's gone.

BUT, how about his hands?

I'm told he has two of 'em... one at the end of each arm...

Further, each hand apparently has the requisite five fingers...

NO ONE....

trade down in the first and add a 3rd
trade out of the first and add 2 seconds (we would have to trade with either miami, tampa, or atlanta)

then we can take Justin Blalock if he is still on the board.

Dwayne Jarrett all day... I take productivity over a one year wonder.

Why not just draft David Ball then? 4200 yards and 54TDs in the past 3 years compared to Jarrett with 3100 yards and 41TDs.

Darrelle Revis, if not there, then Bowe Never can have enough cornerbacks and we know Glenn is gone after this year. This gives Revis a year to learn or even beat out Glenn perfect scenario

The first thing you should look for on a WR is how good are his hands. Then how big and fast is he. Then how good is he at running routes and going over the middle. Then you look into charactor, etc. Then you add it all up.

It's hard to compare their numbers because of the cmopetition they played against. Jarrett put up his numbers against the best college has and did it despite often having to sit out the fourth quarter in a blowout.

I am split between Bowe and Meachem if we go WR. I definitely dont want to go Jarrett or Ginn Jr.
