My Concern with this team

Saquon Barkley had:
- 2005 rushing yards (5.8 yards per carry) and 13 TDs.

Their OL pummeled defenses (heaviest OL in history).

They played great defense with a top rated Defensive Coordinator (Vic Fangio).

Many NFL QBs could have won with that team.
OMG! Barkley had like 50 yds rushing the whole game. Hurts won that SB and he also won MVP even though some said it was the defense. Even the SB they lost to KC Hurts put up 35 points with garbage at RB.

The problem is nobody is winning in this league without a really solid QB. Say what you want about Hurts but he made clutch throws and runs in both SBs he was in.
What Sense does it make to build the team first and have a really good defense and wide receivers and running game when your QB sucks and the team gives you 9 or 10 wins a year and exits in the first round of the playoffs. You need to take a QB when you got that high pick and when you're terrible you don't sit there and put together a really solid team first You get the QB first. Right now Dallas has a chance to get into this Manning sweepstakes next season and man they could be a good team for the next 12 years a really good team. But you know what they're too stupid to know it!
Highly highly unlikely that Manning leaves after the 25 season. The Mannings are known for staying in college all 4 years, and he's making 4+ mil/season, and that is likely to get higher. Much higher. Why would he leave.

Look for him in 2027.

The D won that super bowl, and it wasn't close. Hurts played well. But, giving him credit for the victory is ridiculous. You'd have to just not watch the game to think that.

“Hurts played well.” That is not insignificant. The man turns 27 in three months. I understand not wanting him to be good. Of course Cowboys fans want to believe he won’t improve as he gains more experience. He’s still learning how to be a proficient NFL quarterback. Hard to accept. Nonetheless it’s true.

The draft is this week. The Eagles will draft a quarterback before the Cowboys do. Also hard to accept. Nonetheless it’s true.

NFL QB money is crazy. The faster you get in, if you are ready to play, the faster you are making $50+M a year.

$4M is chump change.

You're talking to the wrong poster. Hurts is good. Bottom of the top 10ish.

And this is the 2nd super bowl he's played well in. Rises to big moments.

All that being said, the Eagles D was by far the biggest factor in that game.

Hurts’ job is to do his job. Win Super Bowls, stay with the Eagles. Don’t win them, go away. In Dallas it’s just do the best you can.

Your underrating Hurts! Yes the D did a great job but how many times have we seen that Chiefs defense shut other good teams down. Spagnola had that defense playing hard. There was a lot of QBs that would of wasted the effort of that Philly defense. Hurts was tough mentally and physically and he got the MVP. You could argue Sweat deserved the MVP but you take away each player out of the game and which side is affected more. Eagles would still win without Sweat. Doubt they win without Hurts.

My concern is the same front office steering the ship into the same ice berg for the 30th consecutive time.
Yep, and we peasants get all worked up and excited this time of year, Everytime. They know it. What a racket. Lol. That said, even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while. Maybe this is the year.

If I may butt in. Ksk might be more right than you think. The Eagles Oline and running attack got all the attention, but the real bread and butter was the same all year and the theme was the same in the SB for the world to witness. DEFENSE! I never saw Mahomes and Reid dismantled in such a way ever! They were mauled. SHUTDOWN COMPLETELY. For those folks who don't think running backs and Oline are very important, go talk to KC lol. They got exposed. Hurts is a system rpo guy that had a run heavy RB behind him to lean on which opens up everything you wanna do. All he has to do was steer the ship. Nothing that special. True team they had. A great QB or offense gets stopped Everytime if you have the thugs up front to enforce your plan. We are a long way away but we CAN get there starting Thursday night! Hope they truly let Marty's son cook and help buy the groceries because I have a great feeling about his vision of the team. It's crazy maybe but I trust him. We shall see.

I use to be like that but I have 0 trust in this organization. I'm in the prove it to me stage. To be honest I just don't care anymore about the Cowboys. Sure I'm on here and pointing out what they need but I won't ever cheer for Dak. I hate that mofo.

Dak is like a deer in headlights in big games. He needs alot around him. To me, we need a dominant defense first and foremost.

No, I am not. I did not say Hurts sucked or something like that.

There are many QBs they would've won w/. The real MVP was Carter. The Eagles don't win w/o that DLine.

Well done.

Hurts is an excellent complementary QB. He did a great job. He's a football player and a gamer. And a good dude to top it off.
