My concerns for Dallas going forward

The gnats receivers were suffering dropped balls as well or more,,, man, sure wish #19 Butler could've pulled in that one he was allotted in the end zone (I like him)

We scored on that drive anyway, but Butler's hands are suspect.

Allotted for sure. That was a well thrown ball where a WR can make a play. Butler did not.
Missed opportunity and very costly.

No,absolutely not! This is Dak's team to ride to the end, good or bad.No Romo!

I hear you and have also felt that way for most of this season. But, you know, getting into the playoffs is special (particularly for the Cowboys of the past 20 years) and if we limp in with Dak stinking it up I don't see why Romo can't be given a shot at some point. Dak will continue to learn and get better but I don't think this should be at the expense of a potentially successful playoff run this year,

If the Cowboys win, won't matter much how Dak performs as far as a QB change– because there won't be a change.
There shouldn't be a change at QB,win or lose.I said I would be concerned if they performed poorly offensively, especially in the passing game, against Tampa Bay.

By the same token if the Cowboys lose and Dak plays a good game, he's still in as well at QB.
If Dak lays eggs in both Buc and Lion games, I wouldn't be surprised if #9 shows up taking snaps for our first playoff game. That said, I highly doubt Dak regresses any further.

Agreed.

I wish some of yall would just say how you really feel about Dez already...smh...I can understand why so many ppl hate Cowboy fans....hell I'm a Cowboy fan and I think a majority of Cowboy fans are STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Based on this post, you could easily be considered leader of the stupid pack.

Odell:
vs Vikings 3/9 23 yard 0 TDs

I don't think Dak played poorly against the Vikings and I thought he looked good against the Skins. He looked poorly against the G-Men, but I would put blame on Dez, the O-Line and Linehan/Romo (if he's helping with the play calling) as well.

This offense in the Garrett era has always looked better when the pace is quicker. Against the G-Men it was a lot of audibling and 'check with me' and then snapping the ball at the last second. This is the type of game that Romo would have when he didn't look sharp and the offense sputtered. We need to be more judicial in the audibles and check with me's because it just allows the defense to set up their blitzes and coverage disguises. It also confuses the O-Line and that's how false starts and missed assignments happen.

I'm not saying you can't audible or have those adjustments made, but doing it on every play is a bad idea. The Packers use some pretty exotic stuff and on our first drive against GB we were pretty much in hurry up mode (by Garrett's standards) and we ran right thru the Packers.

I won't confuse Dez for being a Steve Largent type route runner, but his route running really isn't the issue as much as his basic techniques and that's where he's been off the most. That long pass play against the Vikings was a perfect example....that should have been a walk-in touchdown, but instead he dropped his head, stutter stepped and was off balance. He doesn't use his hands well to separate from the coverage and he just looks rusty from a technique perspective

Lastly, we played 2 road games in a row. There's a very low probability of winning 2 road games in the row in the NFL.

I'll just give some examples from last year.

Carolina went 15-1 last year. Their only loss? A 13-20 defeat to the Falcons, on the road in the 2nd road game in a row and it was in December. The Falcons also went 8-8 last year.

The 13-3 Cardinals had two road games in a row...twice. And they lost 1 of them to the Steelers.

The 12-4 Patriots had 2 two-game road sets. The second one they lost both road games.

The 12-4 Bengals only had 1 two-game road series and they lost the second road game to the Broncos.

The 12-4 Broncos had 2 two-game series, but won them both. However, they both occurred in September and October and in the second 2-game series they needed overtime to beat the 3-13 Browns.

The pass was a tad too long; was lucky it was caught.

1. Poor coaching decisions (making Zeke a 2 down back is dumb as nothing is wrapped up so bascially we are saving him for a Wildcard road playoff game over homefield throughout)
2. Dak hitting the rookie wall (11-1 start was almost erased with one very ugly game). The media and fans are already on it and making it an issue
3. Dez being inconsistent (we obviously need him to be consistent for a playoff run)

Not at all.

Pass was perfect, on the money. Dez's technique as off. He didn't even fully extend his arms to have to catch it. His technique was bad and he ended up off balance. He should have easily scored.

I'm excited to have la El Collins back. Him in the jumbo package will be huge. Maybe if he impressed they think bout moving him to RT. That should be an upgrade over Looney

Respectfully disagree.

Dak delivers a nice ball that required a great catch. A little less on the ball and that might have been a touchdown. But this is pretty great as it is. --Bob Sturm

That's not a very good angle, but when he hits the 20 yard line (or thereabouts) he makes a little stutter step and that throws him off balance.

You can see it better from this picture:

It's a little hard to see the football, but it is located next to the safety's left hip.

He stutter stepped as we can see by his feet and his arms are not anywhere near being fully extended. Had he kept his strides the ball hits him right on the money and he walks in for a TD.

This is the mindset I'm coming around to. Im just concerned about Tony's lack of playing time.
