1. Sean Lee
2. Rolando McClain
3. Justin Durant
4. Bruce Carter
5. Anthony Hitchens
6. Kyle Wilber

What makes you think that Durant is going to be able to make it through a season? He and Lee are incredibly injury prone to this point in their careers. All manner of leg problems.

I'll take 15 games from Hitchens Carter and McClain over 6 from those two any day and twice on Sundays.

Yeah I was gonna reply in order for me to rank someone based on skill they have to be able to stay on the field and play. And as of right now, i'd probably have to say Bruce Carter and Hitchens are the only ones who fit that mold.

I guess I mean in terms of productivity when on the field and healthy...McClain has to stay healthy too though..

I can't argue with that list. Carter's talented enough to be higher but way too inconsistent.

I think that list is exactly how I would put it. I think Hitchens will overtake carter - I see him becoming a Durant style player at some point. But as of today, I couldn't make a change.

Lee
McClain
Durant
Hitch
Carter
Wilber

I put Hitchens above Carter because more versatile

That would be mine as well. That's one of the reasons I love Hitch. He came in as a rookie and played every LB position. He had a shaky start but progressed as the season went. And he was a warrior through injuries. Great find by the Cowboys

That list is when they're going in to camp.

It will look like this after the first week in Oxnard:

1. Anthony Hitchens
2. Kyle Wilber
3. Justin Durant (day-to-day with hamstring)
4. Bruce Carter (demoted for missing assignments)
5. Rolando McClain (missing for personal reasons [under suspicion of sabotaging the Space Shuttle])
6. Sean Lee (missing and presumed dead after spontaneously combusting in first half hour of camp)

This is what Dallas signed Durant for in 2013 a 2 year / $2,400,000 contract with the Dallas Cowboys, including a $400,000 signing bonus, $400,000 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $1,200,000. I would hope a slight bump in pay to resign him is possible.

Carter for me is the tricky one, I know some inconsistency was due to injury and some especially in 2013 seem to be more about shaken confidence. The way he played over the last part of the season just makes me wonder did he finally get it and had a better understanding of defense? My gut tells me we likely will lose him. What concerns me is seeing him leave and flourish on another team

I don't know that cap issues would keep either Carter or Durant as candidates, off the training camp roster. Myself, I like the thought of them growing with the rest of that positional group. I don't care who is considered the leader of the pack. I think that Sean Lee still leads the pack, and is extremely smart as a player.

Durant had a few good games but is not as talented as B. Carter or as dependable as Anthony Hitchens IMO.

Count me on the Hitchens bandwagon I think he's going to be a big time player for us moving forward
