This is assuming we cant' get a deal for Roy Williams W.R. or dont' get a R.B. like Tatum Bell!
Ideally I'd like to get 2 players prior to the draft in either tradign for Roy Williams to make our offense unstoppable, or maybe getting a guy like Javon Walker is he's released and also getting a R.B. like Tatum Bell, this way we arent' FORCED to pick a W.R. or R.B. early and can go Best available athlete route while also getting needs.
BUT this mock is assuming we didnt' sign anyone in F/A so our needs would be W.R./C.B./R.B. mostly!
#22 C.B. Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie
We NEED to get another C.B. to replace Reeves (our biggest weakness last year) and to take over for Henry eventually, so we go with Cromartie who I really like a lot, needs to bulk up a little, but has great size and more importantly, Can come down with INT's given the chance with great ball skills, proved he could handle the big boys during senior bowl week!
#28 W.R. James Hardy
6'-4 220 and ran a 4.47, what's not to like?
If he's here we gotta take him to put opposite T.O. and eventually be our #1 W.R., Limas Sweed is another option but I go with Hardy!
2nd round
R.B. Jamaal Charles or Chris Johnson, I don't know if either will be available this late though!
If they're gone I'd go with Ray Rice!
3rd round
C.B./S. Terrell Thomas
Gives us another D.B. and covers us when Henry leaves to step in as the #3 C.B. and could also replace Roy Williams if he doesn't improve and could also replace Hamlin if we dont' wanna sign him long term.
Or maybe N.T. Ahtyba Rubin who's 6'-3 320 and put up 37 reps!
4th round
W.R. Dexter Jackson
We get the BIG W.R. in round 1 and get the little SPEED GUY now, although running UNDER 4.3 he probably won't last this long.
If D.T. Frank Okam, doubt he falls this far but a no brainer if he does!
otherwise I'd go D.E. Dre' Moore or d.E. Kendall Langford or O.T. Phil Loadholdt, although believe it or not I'd use this pick on Q.B. Josh Johnson, just ran a 4.55 but that's not what I liked about him, it's his 43 T.D's to 1 INT, not a typo, 43 T.D.'s to ONE INT, and a 68% completion percentage, so he can throw, he can run, and makes good decisions with the football in his hands by throwing only 1 INT since with so many throws, just a batted pass by a D-lineman or a tip by a L.B. should of resulted in more than one INT, we need a Q.B. to groom to be Romo's backup and this kid is a good prospect to grooom!
5th round
O.G. Heath Benedict/O.L.B. Shawn Crable/F.S. Bobbie Williams/O.T./G. Keith Brandon
6th round C.B. Jake Ikegwounu Injured but could of been 1st rounder, will miss 08' but worth the 6th rounder if he comes back healthy, and I personally would trade away ALL OUR PICKS from rounds 6 and 7 to move up in the other rounds a spot or three because any late round pick probably won't make our team since we only have limited spots open to begin with.
THOUGHTS?
Or other players you guys like in certain rounds?
