I mean it doesn't really help to be players in free agency. They are taking the correct approach. Keep getting talent in the draft and get a few key free agents here or there. I think Mario Williams would be a great addition to this team. You don't need to spend 100 million on Suh or any moves like that.

But whoever that 1st round pick is should come in and make an immediate impact. Unless he's a quarterback. I'm against taking a quarterback that high personally. I believe at that spot you can get a starting linebacker, defensive linemen or receiver there that can come in right now and start and be one of your best players.

Not a bad approach, if the GM really thinks that Tony Romo has three more very productive seasons.

With the increase in the salary cap expected to be around $154 million, why does that leave us with only $5 million?
I read so many different things of what we are under, before the cap increase. Like around $5 million under, and an increase in the cap, plus the carry overs, should put us around $15 million under.

With a few restructures, which I do not like, unless they really need the cap room. And depending what the "real" cap saving of releasing car is, beofre and after June 1st.. Which I read 5 different versions at least.

So what is the real cap number before restructures and releases? I am not disputing anything, just saying I see so many different figures. How accurate is over the cap web site. Every time I look at it, which is very rarely, it is like reading the IRS tax code........j/k...but how accurate is it.

I don't mean spend 100 mil but you need vets to fill holes. There's a ton of holes on this team to fill. Draft isn't going to fill them. Usually even 1st round picks don't do much for a few years.

1st round picks should. You have guys who are projects but at the 4th overall pick that should be a starter FIRST DAY. I don't see a "ton" of holes. I guess it depends on what's brought back. But the major holes I see our possibly a 1 tech, backup qb, linebacker and a corner or safety. Not a ton of holes at all.

I guess not a ton of holes but all of them need to be filled via FA imo. A 4th pick should make a impact but I don't see many 1st rounders that do especially in dallas.

Well because we usually don't pick this high. Zach Martin made an IMMEDIATE impact. Tyron Smith did as well. Dez made one. Not saying they'll be All Pro but at the 4th pick....a linebacker there should be an immediate starter.

Oline is usually the easiest to pick it'd seem. lb should be a starter on this team for sure. The lb core is weak. They just shouldnt go dl or cb again.

It depends on who the defensive linemen is. That learning curve is gonna be a lot slower buts going to pay off at some point in this season. I agree with not going CB. I'm watching other teams find CB's in the 4th and 5th round. I'm not investing a top pick in one anymore.
