My desired draft

My thought is we have 3 positions on Defense that needs help now and plenty of draft picks.

#1 Patrick Surtain CB

Trade into late 1st round. (44, 2022 2nd, and 138) for 29
#1 Trevon Moehrig FS. 5 Yr contract

Trade into late 2nd round (75 and 115) for 60
#2 Alim NcNeil NT

#3 Brady Christensen OT

LB/CB/RB/QB with the rest

Either top corner, with one of the top 3 safeties and McNeil is golden. Think the ideal draft would also include a linebacker who can push the starters or start in another season.

I've seen mocks having him go in the 2nd and I see a big need for NT(DT1) so I dont want to miss him. We have enough DT3s

Nope, plus their track record on hitting on picks outside round 3 is pretty bad. Quality over quantity.

I could see FB, 3rd QB, 3rd TE, OL. Maybe 2-3 on offense

I had a lot from what I see. I would have no trouble replacing the entire defensive line outside of Lawrence (this year anyway) and Gregory (one year deal).

I would add at least one corner, two if the opportunity presents itself.

Free safety is open and I’d add another to the mix as well. That’s two.

Linebacker group is in transition and can go in any direction. From one guy added up to three.

If I can get a future offensive tackle or two I’d feel a lot better as well.

And I would love to add a smaller receiver with speed and change of direction, return ability a plus.

That’s how I see things.

Great draft but you’re not getting Moehtat 29. He’ll go somewhere in 22-25 range

I agree but I think most teams will view him as a two down player unless they are running a 3-4.
That could drop him. Our need at S and LB is colossal too.
