Sat/Day 1: UT gets blasted for fifth straight year.
All in all, not that bad of a day truly. Wife’s home after 2+ weeks w/ entertaining Italians in-tow, they’re always good for some yuks!!
Sun/Day 2: Cowboys suffer a needless loss to a division team.
Ok, this is beginning to get ugly. But wait, all’s not lost, the wife’s boss and I decide to catch the 5:15 Southwest flight to New Orleans and spend the next 18 or so hours at the casinos on the “Big Easy”.
Sun/Day 2, Part II: With something like 5:00 left in the 4th, Arizona, the team I’ve picked on midswat’s Yahoo Survival Football Pool is up by 16 over San Fran.
Well, it’s small consolation, but things are looking up!
Sun/Day 2, Part III: After arriving in NO, I pass an airport lounge just in time to see SF converting a 2PC to tie AZ.

Sun/Day 2, Part IV: We get in our rental, just in time to hear San Fran kick the game winning FG in overtime. 31-28
Ummm, I glance down at the $1.500 in cash I’ve brought w/ me, and begin to rethink this whole “gambling” thing.
Mon/Day 3: On 12:25 flight NO, arriving Dal Love Field, 3:25.
I greedily gloat over (for the 5th or 6th time) the $2.875 in cash I’m bringing home w/ me, as I tell the wife’s boss, “Ohhh, don’t worry about it Jay, the in-flight drinks are on me, how ‘bout a double?!?!” ~snicker, snicker~
Mon/Day 3, Part II: Love Field - 3:50 p.m. “theParkingSpot” Cedar Springs Road. A perfect ending to a perfect weekend.
My car, that’s supposed to be in Lot C, space 284, ISN’T!! The response from “Dick,” the lot manager as he’s dialing the Dallas Police Dept… “Gee, THIS has never happened before!!”
Mon/Day 3, Part III: 4: 5:00 p.m. - My driveway, in a lame-azz Pontiac loaner from "theParkingSpot".
Ahhh, finaly home sweet home, can't wait to kiss the "lovely bride".... heyyy, what's my next-door neighbor, Mike doing sneaking out the side window!!??
