My draft review

It was pretty good, could've been better. I love Parsons, he's a stud!!!! I know a lot of you like Ball and Cox......I'll reserve judgement on that.
What did you like??

Overall it was decent but could have been much better. They did a terrible job in the 3rd round. Two of those guys could have been drafted much, much later. Big time reaches. They got the big fat DT I have been wanting so that is good. The Stanford wideout looks like a sleeper. Call me nuts but I liked Parson. If they can keep Ball and Joseph out of jail they can be good. That third round was a mystery to me.

I liked my beverage and food better than our draft and they didn't get any of my pet cats but then again, no assurance my pet cats wouldn't have turned out to be strays.

There was no fall like Lamb in this one so there was no wow factor but they went D and that one WR they did get is an intriguing prospect. He's got star on the next team he goes to written all over him.

I am already preparing for the wailing if Big Smitty, Collins or Martin goes down for the "we could have had Slater", we didn't need another LB".

I am most intrigued with how Parsons, Cox, Smith and Vander Esch are going to play out and I wonder if Quinn knows Booger's business partner is also the cornerstone of his defense? It's not everyday a team uses it's 1st pick on the same position as the cornerstone.

I have been following Joseph and I think he's going to be a steal. I like that the front office moved back and still got the best LB in the draft, maybe the best defensive player. Plus, a free 3rd round pick.

This sums it up. You could have gotten OO & Gholston later and most would have been fine with it. #99 is just a complete mystery. You could have taken multiple CB's at that point & still got this guy late or more likely as URFA if you believe in him.

My friend, Please, don't be so modest. You know you like Ball and Cox as well. It's okay to admit it. ;)

Joseph reminds me of Martellus Bennett in that his interest level is not that of "all I want to be is a jock". That was Witten's frustration with Bennett, he didn't march to the same drummer as Witten. Football was just not as important.

Some of these players are not all consumed by playing at the next level and more than we'd like to think are doing it just for the money that will allow them to follow their real passion, in Joseph's case that is music. All I want from him is to give his all on the field, if his true passion lies elsewhere, that's cool.
