Niners have the 4th pick. Trade our 2nd, 3rd & 4th to the Niners for Solomon Thomas and the 4th pick. Draft Rapp or Thornhill with the 4th pick. You like?

Not really. Too much for a 1st round bust in Solomon!!!

Would SF make a trade like such if it Taco going the other way and picks were the same.

Massive overpayment for the Cowboys on a huge risk. They will still upgrade S position where they stand in 2nd round and we can see how our 1st round bust so far does this season rather then waste picks on another bust.

One of Thornhill or Rapp may very well fall to us at 58

I haven't watched Thomas enough to know if he's worth our 3rd and 4th rounders

No, do not like it, not giving away extra picks for a player they gave up on, and has done nothing.
When we can stay put nd get 2 productive players at 58 & 90. As opposed to a bust and a 4th rounder for one player.

Fine, my new dream draft & trade. Draft Thornhill in the 2nd. Draft Hill in the 3rd. Trade 4th for Solomon Thomas. You like?

Except that Hill and Thomas would both be a 3-tech in Dallas.

Make it Rapp / Sternberger / Thomas and I’m in.

SF wouldn’t part with Thomas for a 4th though.

Would love that draft. The rest of the draft may not matter at that point. LOL.
Not so sure about the trade, but can't be any worse than a 4th round pick. At you know what you may have in Thomas. A change of scenery may be all he needs.
I do think they need another LB with the 4th or 5th pick. As there are only 6 on the roster and do not like if they go with those 6 plus a bunch of UDFA's for TC.

That is better. Now your talking. The 4th rounder being the comp pick for Wilson loss keeping our own 4th rounder.

Still think you can get a better player then Thornhill for 2nd Round pick. Time will tell.

San Fran has been playing him out of position. I say go for it. I would try to get him with a 4th and if that didn't work I would offer a 3rd.

The nfl website has us taking a receiver in the 2nd

But I’m like you tapp or thornhill

I don't think we'd get anything for Hurns but I would do any and all of that.

Don't forget we would still have pick 58 and 90.

Still get our safety and Sternberger in the 3rd. That's a haul and we got younger and absolutely no cap issues to sign our triplets and anything dynamite free agent.

If we did this, which it won't happen I see if Suh wants to sign a fair deal and give Tank his wish to play on the line with him.

Tank Lawrence/Maliek Collins/Ndamukong Suh/Robert Quinn.

Wolf Hunter/Predator/Snake Lee (lol)

Best front in the league and 1 hell of a talented and youthful secondary.

Our o-line younger, probably even more talented and cost effective.

I actually might be ok with this if there was one kid that we really, really, really wanted more than anyone else at the top of the round. I don't get the feeling that this is the case though.

I'd say no because I'd rather Dallas to at least have a shot at a TE in the 3rd. I don't really know much about Thomas other than his 4 sacks in 2 seasons. I don't know how much of an impact he has.

TE isn't a must this draft. We have Witten, Jarwin, Schultz and Gathers. That is plenty. No TE in the 3rd round will do more then those 4 this coming season. See how the TE's behind Witten progress this season and take care of it next draft. With no 1st round pick this year there are bigger holes to fill with the picks we have.

Safety, DT, LB, CB....all D.

Focus next draft on TE, WR and OL if needed. We must go D this draft.

I would do 58 and a 4th for that pick...

I would much prefer 33 if they can make the trade now. It's a big advantage to be able to decide on the pick ahead of time.

I don't disagree with this basic mindset. It's sound. I just don't want to reach for a DT in the 3rd if the best player available is like DT Willis. So the TE idea was just a fall back plan. Any of these good TEs that do fall to the 3rd will be because of the defensive talent in this draft. Otherwise I think they go higher.

Like I said before on Thomas. Don't know much about him. I can only go by what I see on paper. It doesn't look that good. Besides, he's a DE.
