Round 1- Melvin Ingram OLB/DE S. Carolina- Decastro goes before we pick and I personally think Dre Kirkpatrick is a bit overrated. Ingram is a special player at 6'4 276 with elite athleticism. Rex could move him around at OLB and DE with his size, quick feet, and ability to tackle and stop the run. Special player that would make an immediate impact.
Round 2- Kelechi Osemle OG Iowa State- Huge guy at 6'5 347 and he has been starting at LT for Iowa State. His ability to play LT at a high level in the Big 12 shows his great feet and technique. Wont be able to play LT in the NFL but his combo of huge size and good feet should make his transition to OG easy. Would be an immediate upgrade over Holland/whoever else we've throwing out at OG this year.
Round 3- Casey Hayward CB Vandy- I think I like this kid more than most and would even consider him in the 2nd if he shoots up the boards. Doesnt have great size, but it wont hurt him either at 5'11 188. Isnt afraid to tackle despite the lack of great size as he had 54 tackles with 6.5 going for loss. Ballhawk type who had 5 picks this year with 13 for his career. Should be able to play right away as he has had 3 years of starting experience in the SEC.
Round 4- Austin Davis QB Southern Miss- Yup. McGee is awful and Romo is far from durable. Time to finally draft a Qb. Davis is a scrappy Qb who isnt really elite at anything but is adequate at everything. His work ethic and dedication are what makes him a legit NFL prospect though. Studies hard in the film room and added 20 lbs of muscle before his senior season to help his arm strength and durability. Also has good foot speed that will keep defenses honest.
Round 5- Chris Rainey RB/WR/KR Florida- Doesnt really have a position so he drops this far. He is a pure weapon with his sub 4.4 40 ability though. I think Jason could find a way for this kid to get his hands on the ball and make some big plays. Also is the potential dynamic return man that we lack.
