Traded 12 for 24 & 39 to the Browns. McCoy was the best available, Browns took the Penn State Guard

20-Mesidor Edge Miami-yes, 25 and some injury concerns, but one of the most ready edge rushers in the class.
24-Hood CB Tennessee-I wanted to add a high-end corner over reaching for a linebacker
39-Hill Jr. LB Texas-not my favorite LB prospect, but both Allen/Rodriguez were off the board, still very talented.
92-Kilgore S/Nickel South Carolina-one of those ideal big nickel prospects
112-Konga DT Louisville-they had him as the 109th rated prospect, perfect spot to take him

Looks good to me. I had a similar trade offer on the mock I did today. 12 for 24 and 39. I took.

20 Terrell
24 Messidor
39 JRod
92. Kilgore
112 Konga

It’s pretty similar.

Ita good for whats available, but seeing these trade down mocks really makes me hope we trade up.

Id so much prefer to have Styles, Downs or Bain to couple with Allen/Rodriguez or Hood/Terrell

Actually don't see a wide gap from the top prospects to the next tier. Rather any a couple then just 2.

You picked 5 players that should have major rolls next season and beyond on the defense. Good job. I hope the Cowboys consider the trade back options.

Good players and value. I don't hate it but it also feels like the "all alternates" draft for me.

What I see with our defense moving forward, it won't be built around a few star players, but rather the sum of all parts. Surround the defense with multiple, quality starters.

Yeah and like you I am not sure the big guys will be there at 12. Lots of good defenders in this draft and Hill could be a healthy Overshown. At the very least Hill is a better prospect.

I worry about Hill's instincts, but he checks all the other boxes and clearly is the best athlete out of those three after Styles.

Yeah they're not terrible but I think watching Kenneth Murray this season has given me PTSD when I see a LB make a bad or late read it triggers me.

It is hard to watch him after Styles and Rodriguez, even Allen and see the difference in that regard.

Can Hill be a healthy Overshown? Especially with Gary, Clark and Quinnen taking on blockers. Hill has pass rush ability.

Love the Kilgore love. Underrated prospect, curious was Haulcy available there?

We've historically gone with the more athletic traits types. Im kind of hoping we lean towards the better film, instinctual, students of the game guys this draft. ESPECIALLY if a rookie is going to be wearing the green dot. I think ive reached the point Im pulling for CJ Allen to be the pick. Guilty of flip flopping though.

I’m a big Allen fan myself and I’m worried about Hill as he is more of an upside pick

Yup. Im fatigued from the upside athlete picks. Give me smart, instinctual football players. Guys who love the game.

Think he is a better version of Bolton from the chiefs
