my FA signings

I don't think Jerry is going to go all crazy in FA like some think he will. This safety class is not great and no day one starter. MY favorite FS in the draft is Aaron Williams and my favorite SS is Quinten Carter but niether are ready to start. SO I think Jerry will sign 2 safties in FA and a OG.

With the number of players hitting the market, it's a vast overstatement to say that these are 3 pretty big names. I would say that's realistic, if not underestimating the cowboys FA plans.

It would be interesting to know the Cowboys' projected cap situation for 2011.

What about the RFAs?

Where are we under the projected 2011 cap after we take care of them to go after our own FAs like Koiser and Spears?

Unless we have to match some rediculous offer, I want Spears back. Then we can talk Huff and or a FA offensive lineman.

that's the thing we dont know who these guys are yet so going off the various unnoficial lists available then in no way is my statement "vast" :

Have to agree that Jerry won't go crazy in FA but I could see some fringe signing of guys trying to make it back.

Would have to agree with Michael Huff FS but could see Davin Joseph LG as the big signing and resign Sensabaugh as the SS. Could see us signing one corner if we don't take Amukamara with the #9 pick. Someone like Johnathan Joseph CB or Eric Wright CB. Both need to get their mojo back so they wouldn't (shouldn't) be top $ guys.

Also some fringe guys that will not be expensive and could possibly be on the radar might be
Cadillac Williams RB - Barber is gone/Williams needs to show he still can do it
Jarvis Moss OLB - former #1 that has a lot to prove
Donte Whitner SS/FS - former #1 that has a lot to prove
Richard Marshall CB - another of those maybe in just the wrong system
Thomas Davis OLB - 2 knee injuries says he moves inside, risk/reward guy
Charles Johnson RT - better run blocker than pass blocker
Robert Gallery OG - has something to prove, could be decent cost
Mike Sims-Walker WR - lots to prove, maybe an excellent slot guy
Jacoby Jones WR - another slot type guy
Tim Hightower FB/RB - if the roster is expanded might be a good pick up
Matt Leinart QB - risk/reward guy but Garrett and Brad Johnson could do magic maybe

Jerry will usually sign a few of the under the radar free agents. He just needs Garrett and Ryan to pick the right ones.

Dont forget we still have to resign Free and possibly kosier. and then the rest will be guy's that probably already know ryan D a-la morrision and elam. epsically if there are OTA delay's.

they are all good players but non are great and pro bowl players.

Do you want Jerry to sign bad players? Of course thay are good players. But again non are pro bowl all pro great players so they wont get big pay days like those who are all pros and are great players.

We can't sign Nnambi and Weddle will be to high to and also Mankins, but Blalcok will not get Mankins money, Huff and Manning will not get Weddle or Nnmabi money.

big difference in singing good players and all pro great players.

why resign koiser when you can sign Blalock. or cut davis and the money you save from his salary you pay blalock. Blalock will not get Davis money. I would rather get a starting quality OG in the draft, cutting Davis, letting koiser walk and signing blalock. Also letting colombo go will save some money.

We can resign free no problem and give a good deal with a big signing bonus and bsck load the deal so it doesn't hit the cap much this year.

Morrison has never played in a 3-4 and James is better than moorison. Elam might be a good pick up but I would rather have pollard over Elam. Elam was here before and was upset when Dallas released him.
