It's not getting rid of a certain guy, or bringing in another guy. It's not the playcalling or any number of other factors that we could talk about.

It's the attitude of the team. For years when I've watched the Cowboys I've felt two things. One was jealousy of teams like Philadelphia who seem to always play with a huge swagger on defense, and the second was feeling like our team somehow lacked the intensity of other teams. It was almost like they were just going through the motions but not caring as much as the other team did.

Both of those things have changed this year. Even during the losses. It just feels like the entire team is one big unit instead of being divided between offense and defense. Guys are feeding off each other and it just seems like one big team.

I know it's not really something you can measure, but this year I just feel like the team has the attitude they need to take the next step and be successful in the postseason. Like they've figured out how to get out of their own way.

I hate swagger--swagger is nothing but self-centered childishness--real swagger is the 60s Packers, no spiking, yelling, dancing theatrics--they lined up and beat you even though you knew what was coming

I would like us to be more like Drew Pearson than McNabb, The Playmaker, Primetime, or TO.

One could argue that these factors are directly attributable to the team "attitude"..

Yeah but the NFL is a show to me. It should be entertainment. I like the Playmakers and the Ochocinco's. But hey, different strokes for different folks.

No, swagger is being confident that you're going to come out and beat the guy across from you, and then coming together as a unit and doing it. Our defense has been lacking it. They have it a little now. I fully believe that the difference between beating an o lineman for a sack or getting stonewalled often boils down to who wants it more. In the past our guys have not shown that they wanted it more than the guys across from them.

They are showing that this year.
