It only has taken 4 hours but I'm ready to face the end. I'm ready to say farewell to another season. Again, it ends in heart ache but the whole story is not sad.
Unfortunately I spent a majority of this season being a pompous, negative jack *** for reasons that have discussed in another thread and I dont wish to repeat. For that I was unable to enjoy much of this season. Luckily for me I woke up soon enough to be able to witness one of the greatest 4 game stretches in Cowboys history. 4 games that made a impression and will not be lost on me by a bitter ending.
What I saw was a team that learned to play together, a team that became family, a team that embraced it's coach, a team that grew up and did what all of those outside the organization said they can not do.
I witnessed hope for next year, something that has not come around these parts in some time. We now have a team that has tasted blood and not only seen the grass on the other side of the fence but have taken steps on it. For the first time in a long time I actually believe it when I hear, "there is always next year" because with the SB coming to Big D next year I honestly believe this team is ready to make history.
I want to thank my fellow brothers here for opening my eyes and not allowing me to miss this whole season in a cloud of hate. I also want to thank the Cowboys for giving me a great season and their heart.
Now it's on to the draft, my second favorite time of the year behind opening week. It's time to suck it up, put a little bow on the season and tuck it away.
Bigger and better things are waiting!
