Using the Draftek Simulator and Walter Football board:

Round 1: TJ Watt, EDGE, Wisconsin
Round 2: Tyus Bowser, EDGE, Houston
Round 3: Justin Evans, S/CB, Texas A&M
Round 4: Cordrea Tankersley, CB, Clemson
Round 5: Johnathan Ford, S/Slot CB, Auburn
Round 7: Sam Tevi, OT, Utah
Round 7: Cameron Tom, C, Southern Miss

Two good EDGE rushers, 3 CB/S types and some OL depth....I'll take it!!

I wonder if we will wait until the third round to draft a cornerback? It seems to me defensive back is a greater need due to our free agent loses in our defensive backfield. Go Cowboys

I will change to the CBS draft board for my next mock....I recall it is considered to be the most "realistic".....

I like your emphasis on the defense early & often. I doubt if some players, like Bowser & Tankersly, will be available where you picked them, but it's always nice to dream. I would Tarrell Basham or Derek Rivers over Bowser anyway, simply because they're thicker & would be harder to move in the run game, but similar thought process. Good first draft.

What's it going to be then, eh?

A lot of people sure are hung up on Justin Evans for some reason.

May have to flip Cordrea and Evans when all is said and done (but taking a corner and safety at 3rd and 4th is the right way to go). But I'd love this draft. Only difference is I'd take CB Brendan Langley instead of Ford and RB DeAnglo Henderson instead of Tom. And even without those changes, this is a plus draft.
