I was asleep and about 11:30 PM my doorbell rang. It was a neighbor and she was asking if she could use a phone, she had found her sister and her husband dead in their home.

The story is already on the local news website.

http://www.azstarnet.com/metro/215480.php

So, I got dressed and let her in. She was apologizing, saying she just didn't know who else would help her. She had been dropped back off in our neighborhood by Tucson Police. Her car and cell phone were kept at the crime scene.

She said she could see her brother-in-law's body in the living room through the mail slot. So she broke a window and climbed in. She found her sister dead in the bedroom. She was nude, but the killer in a strange act of conscience had covered her with a sheet.

So, I let her use my cell phone to make 3 calls to her family in Wichita, Kansas. Then my number was given to Tucson Police so they could call and tell her she could have her phone and car. Well, at 4:00 AM they delivered the phone to my house and I gave it to her. Then an hour later they called her to say she could come get her car. She called me back and asked for a ride.

So I took her back to the crime scene. The Forensics crew were still in the house and the yellow tape is all the way around the house. An Officer on guard there told me it is a bad crime scene.

Apparently the A & E show "The First 48" was on the scene earlier before the Police brought her back to our neighborhood. They are filming an episode for this, so it may end up on TV if they get a suspect in custody. I did not see any of them. The house is a small brick house painted white with what looks like brown trim. There's a carport on the left and there were 3 cars in the driveway. A red Honda, a silver Grand Cherokee, and a silver/gray sedan. I couldn't get close enough to see what kind it was.

The article above didn't name the victims. So that you know I'm telling the truth their names are Quinn and Aries. I won't say their last names for now. No, I had never met them.

Also, there is going to be speculation that the killings are drug related. My neighbor told me Quinn had recently started selling. She had told her sister at Thanksgiving that they had to get away from that. He had done it before some years back. The allure of the money. Luckily, no kids.

My neighbor also told me that this is deja vu. Apparently 9 years ago in Wichita another sister and her boyfriend were murdered in much the same fashion. According to her, just 2 weeks ago the Police informed the family that they have a suspect in those murders. I didn't ask if there was an arrest. Anyone living near the Wichita, Kansas area may know that story.

I'll share as things unfold and I find out.

Yikes! I can't imagine making a discovery like that.

I've watched The First 48 before. Very interesting show.

She keeps saying over and over that she will not sign the waiver to show her face on TV if this episode gets aired.

I can't say I blame her.

One other thing I forgot to add, they had probably been dead a day or 2.

She found the dog, Psycho, a pit bull, in the back yard without food. The dog has been taken away and will probably be put down.

Good for you for giving that poor woman so much help, Hos... it was almost certainly a night of desperation for her, and she undoubtedly needed a little human kindness...

You do lead an adventuresome life, ol' buddy... never a dull moment...

This is kind of surreal SB. I can't say this neighbor and I are close. We've had our disagreements. But she knew I would help. I always do for everyone in the neighborhood. When she was headed back to her house to wait for the call from TPD I asked her if she needed a hug and she did. It wasn't until then that she broke down.

When I took her back to the house to get her car, she hugged me again to say thanks. She apologized for dragging me into this. I'm just glad I could help. That she trusted me enough to even ask. She's a single woman, living alone and she knew that my wife would let me help.

You're right, things are rarely dull around me.

If the dog isn't overly aggressive they may be able to find a new home for it.:(

I know someone who would take him. The question is, would they allow it?

Wow Hos! it sounds like your neighborhood is a bit like mine. About a month ago an unknown assailant shot one of my neighbors in the back of the head killing him in an apparent drug deal gone bad.

I made me feel a bit uneasy knowing that it happen so close to me. After a couple of days when it sinks in, it makes you think a little differently.

Hope your OK Sir.

My wife and I enjoy watching the first 48, especially how the white cops try to use urban slang when questioning suspects. My sides hurt from laughing when they do this. It's a very interesting show. Please keep us posted if you ever learn when this episode will air. Thanks.

This actually wasn't in my neighborhood. Where I live we have the occasional drunk, but not this stuff.

I watched them filming the detectives outside at the car. The female detective never took her shades off. It was rather amusing given it is overcast today and it was like 8:30 AM when they were out there.

Typically, if there are no family members that are laying claim to the animal they will take it to the shelter for a few days. After that it will get behavior testing, and as long as the dog passes, and is not ill, it will get placed up for adoption.

You may want to follow up with the Police Dept. about where the dog was taken and then go from there.

I had to call the cops at 5:30 this morning due to an all-night party above me that would not end. Your story wins.

Wow, Had to be a little un-nerving to open your door at that time of night.. With all the home invasions going on, my wife would probably shoot me if I decided to open the door at that time of night. Even for a woman.

Sad, sad story.

The crazies are just coming more and more prevalent. The kid shooting people at a mall this week, (because he couldnt take it anymore) and the gunman shooting up a church today.
