I saw this report on DMN and thought some of you might like to remember back to the good ole days when a real football mind controlled operations at Valley Ranch. Seems like ages since we had a real head coach. Jerry likes to think, in his feeble mind, that he ran the show back in the day but the truth hurts him so much he just can't bring himself to think of it. Now he has become or morphed into Al Davis Jr. and destroyed a once fancastic football team. Sad...:(

Become painfully obvious over the years.:starspin

“Not only does Johnson, 45, have the final say on all football
matters, but Jones has freed him to become involved in virtually every detail of club business, from the draft to player contracts to overseeing the production of the team’s two television shows.” “Jimmy is coach and chief executive officer of the Dallas Cowboys,’” Jones told Miklasz. “Jimmy has the capacity to run major corporations, so he can certainly handle the Cowboys. It’s a unique situation, but he has unique abilities.”
In the excerpt below, Miklasz explains that Johnson’s powers extended well beyond the football field:
Johnson has thrown himself into the job, usually arriving at 5
a.m. and working late into the night. He may rival [Joe] Gibbs, considered
the most fervent workaholic among NFL coaches. But even Gibbs, at least
publicly, tries to give the impression that his family comes first.
Not Johnson.
