Offense:

Romo- we have all heard how smart he is, that will be tested this weekend. Williams will throw everything he can at the kid and try to force him into mistakes. Romo has never started a game before last week, can he be mentally sharp this week? He will need to be for us to have a chance. I do expect him to struggle this week, and it will be up to the OL to pick him up and open holes for JJ and MB3. The running game will be very important in this game.

I think the key matchup in the passing game will be the play of the safeties of Washington. Taylor has regressed this year and is not doing good in coverage and AA has never been good in coverage. Washington will have both starting CB back for the first time this year.. although I like Glenn or TO on Rogers in Man coverage. The key matchup wil be Witten on AA. Look for Dallas to move Witten around and get man to man match ups with AA and Witten.. that favors Dallas. I look for Witten to have a huge game if Romo can find him.

Defense:

The play of the LB's will be essential in this game. The front 7 must stop the running of Portis and make Brunell pass the ball. Brunell loves the flats.. he completed 20 or so straight passes against the Texans , all short routes most in the flats. The LB's have to get out and cover the flats or Washington will nickel and dime us to victory.

With Moss out, I look for a lot of man coverage with emphasis on stopping the run and creating pressure. Newman will most likely be locked up on Randel El most of the day, he is the speed guy for the skins. I look for henry with safety help on lloyd to take away his deep play. Lloyd has had success against the Boys in the past, we can not afford to let him down field.

D. Ware must have a big game.

Our D must create pressure and turnovers to give the O a short field.

This game will be a dogfight,, classic NFC east battle. We have to come out and match their intesity from the start. They are up against the wall, fighting for their lives, and had 2 weeks to get ready.. they will come out fast and hard. I like our chances,, but we must play a complete game for 4 quarters.

In the end the boys win 21-17.

Who said Moss will not play in the game?? From all the reports I've heard he'll probably play, so you have to give him attention in the passing game.

Our biggest asset for Romo this week will be Bledsoe in his ear. Bledsoe is far from dumb and has played with Williams. HE will know how Williams wants to attack and relay that info to Romo. This is one week I'm glad Bledsoe is here.

If we are going to score points it will be in the running game, I just don't trust Romo going up against Greg Williams defense, they gave Bledsoe fits last year and the inexperience is what's key here.

Turnovers and big plays. It's been the key to every game this season. If Dallas takes care of the ball and doesn't have mental breakdowns on defense, the Cowboys win.

:hammer:

And don't forget the need to eliminate stupid penalties. The boys have enough weapons to give William's defense fits. The only thing that can stop TO, Witten, Glenn, JJ, Barber, and Crayton is the OL, dumb penalties and turnovers

if both teams suit up and take the field, and of course the coin flip and opening kickoff go without a hitch, those are the keys to the game. everything after that is a foreskingone conclusion...

I dont think Dallas will have a problem this weekend. They should be able to take the Commanders pretty easily. I am just glad Romo is going to be in the pocket.

Moss missed practice on thursday as well- even if he plays he will be no where near 100%. Springs is still healing- I really doubt he is even 90%.
There is no excuse for us NOT beating them.
